FINALS 2022: Week 03

I hate all 4 clubs.

I guess if it’s Cats v Swans GF then at its two of the best three clubs in the GF.

The lions have Zorko ([censored]) and Berry (gouger) so probably thinking the Cats.

Pies supporters are just feral. Swans less so.

An empty feeling right now. Last Friday night hurt.  Tonight’s match might be hard to watch.

Hoping the Swans don't [censored] the bed tomorrow (they have a habit of stuffing up in finals)

Geelong by 50+ points. I'm not sure if i'll watch the game

Back to the trading board and the interesting stuff

Since when was the word wet subject to censorship ? 🤗🙄

Cats emergency list is impressive - Parfitt, O'Connor, Menegola and Ceglar.

I would be happy with first three listed getting a regular game with us.

Far better than Brisbane's list of Fort, Lester, Prior and Mathieson.

Geelong should have more depth across the ground to get the win tonight.

I have a newly discovered dislike of the Lions but I don’t think that can compete with decades of Pies and years of Cats loathing.

For me an ideal GF now would be Swans Lions with Swans winning to take all the media love of Pies and Cats away. I appear to be bitter and twisted.

Reality is there is only one Premier and all the rest lose. We did pretty damn well this year.

I only know one Lions supporter who's a pretty quiet fella.
So I'll go with them.

Ok so right now I'm just feeling bitter that we aren't there.

So is anyone just going to watch last year's prelim especially the 3rd quarter or as I call it the max gawn show.

Out of the 4 teams strangely I want Brisbane to win. Yes I know zorko is a grub but I like Chris Fagan & he had a Melbourne connection & it will prove you don't need to play AFL or be that superstar player to be successful. Plus if daniher was to win a flag it would annoy Essendon fans

If geelong lost tonight it would be funny.

I definitely do not want Collingwood there & I'd be happy with a lions/ swans gf.

I know we were a bit banged up but I just would have loved to have had a crack at geelong tonight.

I'm fairly sure we would have bought in Tom so that would have changed up our forward line & you just never know.

Anyway Im hoping we are gutted the players are hurting just as bad.

Toms injured again so we wouldn’t have been able to bring him in.

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

After a bright start to the season, playing mostly in defence, Howes seemed to lose his way in midseason but fought back with some good performances at Casey and finished the year back at AFL level. 2024 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Originally an NBL basketballer with the Brisbane Bullets, he moved across town in 2019 to the AFL Lions where he played 19 games before crossing to Melbourne where he was expected to fill a role as a back up ruckman/key forward. 2024 Player Reviews: #10 Angus Brayshaw

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed. The son of former Demon Brownlow Medalist Shane, Taj added a further 16 games to his overall tally of games but a number were as substitute. He is slowly fitting into the team structure but without doing anything spectacular and needs to take further steps forward in 2025 for his career to progress.
