Nah he's done pretty good to get Brisbane up and about. They were a rabble when he arrived. But should have moved on two years ago.

He is good, good doesn’t cut it. He’s a great assistant.

And before anyone has a crack at Spargo for not having a million possessions ask yourself how much influence Daniel Rich had on the game. That answer would be 2/5ths of [censored] all.

All the talk about the Lions home record.

Geelong are in for the same shock when they rock up to the G for finals after beating up on poor teams at taxpayer stadium

Just needs a better defensive coach to help him. sacking the coach is likely to stuff it all. remember we shuffled some coaches and came back and kept Goodwin.

Best thing they can do is assist the staff and upgrade the helpers. give confidence to the boys.

Geelong's last month: Dogs (GMHBA), St Kilda (GMHBA), Gold Coast, West Coast (GMHBA).

If Carlton wins on Sunday, that'll be 0 finalists and not a single game where a final will be played.

Our last month: Fremantle (Optus), Collingwood, Carlton, Brisbane (Gabba).

If Carlton wins, that'll be 4 finalists on finals grounds (albeit we won't be playing a final at the Gabba).

Does anyone know what happened to Nibbler in the second? Was on the ground spewing his guts up, and channel 7 didn't even bother to replay what happened before it

I did some sums.  Hard to predict scores BUT

Sydney win 95-65, their % is 128.2

Sydney win 100-60, their % is 129.7

Sydney win 110-60, their % is 130.3

Dees are 130.5

But we can win anywhere :)

I was worried all the tough games we've had would impact our fitness and energy levels. But we were full of run tonight and with a 2 week break will be cherry ripe for finals. Battle hardened as well from those tough games

Geelong on the other hand. Playing practice games. No preparation for finals at all

We'll beat the cats if we play them in a final

I just watched Goody in his presser. I really love the bloke. Not sure he gets the love he deserves to be honest. Premiership coach and is just all team…could go on to be one of the absolute greats in my opinion.

We need to celebrate Goody more!!!!

I was at the game, he was down for quite some time but missed the incident

Someone mentioned Zorko earlier in the thread.

I was in the Brisbane members area. The booing was quite pathetic by the crowd but it went strangely quiet by half time and there was so much room to sit!

I loved watching Kozzy smash players and then Trott off and turn around and give the a gob full.

We totally broke them tonight.

So much fun to be there.

Wow wee, found Goodwins post game interview pretty rousing.
Doesn't matter who or where we play.
Got the quiet confidence of a man who knows he's got the reigning premiers coming in hot.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
