Simply awesome.

Think Swans have to win by about 45 points to knock us off 2nd.

Bradshaw yakking about the treatment of Zorko by Melbourne but not wanting to go near Zorko’s two headlocks and some clearly not right sledging. Total misread by him.

Is there a table somewhere that shows the scores we need in the St Kilda and Sydney game to hold on to second spot?

I think about 10 goals

Great win, but FFS Jaded and the others having a whinge about Brodsky getting the last two goals have a good look at yourselves absolutely pathetic

I doubt very much as a club we would be happy with conceding some soft goals in the last.
I would hate to play Sydney at the SCG and so would the club.

We just love playing Brisbane, don't we.

Before tonight they'd lost three H&A games at the Gabba in three years. Season on the line, many had written us off (they went in favourites with the bookies), and we held the highest scoring side in the comp to 17 scoring shots, four of which came in the last five minutes.

After the Dogs loss we had Fremantle (away), Collingwood, Carlton and Brisbane (away), and went 3-1 to secure top 4 (with the only loss being a tight game where our opponent kicked super accurately).

Finals start in a fortnight, but unlike most of our competitors, we've been quietly playing our own finals series for the last month.

We're ready to go.

So that's essentially confirmation from Richo that Zorko has said something about Petty's family that was enough to bring him to tears.

What a disgusting human, let alone a captain of an AFL team.

Sydney will need an 8 -10 goal win, depending on scores Saints kick

Who is mathematically able to work out how much Swans need to win by to overtake us?

Around 3.4%

You know nothing about footy if you think that

It was something Zorko said.

Maysie was giving him a verbal as he was coming off. I also saw him mouthing ‘That’s bull poo’ to Choppers (although it was the more explicit version). Some home truths must have been said to get that reaction.

If it is Zorko, he needs to pull his bloody head in. This isn’t the first time he’s been in trouble for exceeding the bounds of good sportsmanship.

That performance had a beautiful 2021 Finals feel about it!!!

Oh my lord, do we dare to dream?

What an amazing friday night!!!!

Are you serious?

(PS not sure about the premise of your argument anyway. We're 7-0 on the road, whilst 5 of our 6 losses this year have been at the G, including to Sydney).

If the Saints can keep things to a respectable 7 goalish loss, then we’re back at the G for finals!!!

Come on Saints you bunch of no hopers!

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
