And for more good measure round 4, 2021 when we beat them 12.13.85 vs 9.6.60.

Had we kicked straight it would have been another mauling.

I love it, especially because even the waterboy is laughing at him!

Max's third quarter is my highlight of the year after the gf. He just set it alight & I loved his tackling pressure to.

That was just awesome & I don't care how sick they were.

The Janitor at Optus Stadium would have had their hands full cleaning up those toilet bowls before, during and after proceedings then.

That is fantastic, I hadn't noticed that before!  Also Langdon's glee is absolutely priceless.

I saw a headline recently where Jed Bews was putting the cats mystery illness down to something they caught in the resort spa …. “ I think the spa got us ….” 😂

nah mate… big Maxy got you !

Love how the cats “haven’t used the ‘illness’ as an excuse” while using it as an excuse.

They deserve to have a long losing run against us.

PF last year was one of my all time favourite games. Smacking Geelong, given the history of being on the other end, Max going bananas kicking 5 and being in a relaxed state knowing we would be in a GF Midway through the 3rd qtr where all foreign concepts to me. I loved it

A very enjoyable and stress free game. We completely pantsed those arrogant knobheads.

Sucks being Geelong, they get a tummy bug every September!

Ending the game with 5 AA's on the bench just rubbed salt into the wound. Like an NBA side resting their starters once the game is won.

but they're "not using that as an excuse"

The prelim gets forgotten a bit because of the glory of the granny but it was our best win in 57 years for a week.

If 90% of the game is played above the shoulders...

GFC sports psychologist has still got her/his work cut out!

Priceless. Thanks for sharing. A photo worthy of a thousand memes.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
