Assume Viney was having a chat about the 4 wacks we took after marks when 50 wasn’t paid

Smart enough to do it after the siren.

We need to put some goals on the board and get this show on the road

Shocking umpiring. Petracca needs a big last quarter or should see VFL action soon.

He may have a few runs on the board to keep him safe me thinks

Concerned every time they go forward. they are smartly isolating Hunt and Lever every time.  And every time they get beaten. Gawn needs to float back more often this quarter.

Umpires caused that flare up. Complete failure to protect the player in the marking contest. We all know they are going to get a soft one next quarter. Great quarter Dees tough it out

Stand in M Briwn our best forward so far

Fritta says hi.

Maxy and Oliver to the fore that quarter. Petty stood up as well

Just need to keep grinding

come on dees. you got this

Really good quarter of contested footy from both teams. Hard to watch but it was trench warfare. Not sure why the hits after a mark or free kick are not being seen or paid by umpires but there have been many of them.

Fritsch and Kozzie looking likely. Jordon, Brayshaw, Petty, Langdon and Viney keeping us in the game.

Jackson has done little, so make him man up on Paddy McCartin.

Petty was out best defender that quarter.

Speaks volume where our defence is at when a guy who's played under 40 games on one leg is our best defender tonight.

My lord!  How one sided are those Channel 7 clowns tonight?  I'm surprised they know the Melbourne player's names!

Captains goal right there

And here we were thinking we have a full forward problem haha.

Maxy is the man!

I was actually nervous Maxy might miss it. 15 meters out straight in front. Must be my MFCSS rearing its ugly head

Jayden Hunt what the [censored] scrubbing [censored] was that!?

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
