NON-MFC: Round 10, 2022

Collingwood look the goods today. Let's hope the heavens open and the last quarter turns into a really heavy slog.

They are pretty much just being Freo… look the goods only to run out of puff mid season. I’m half expecting Brisbane to do the same.

Nah. Brisbane's loss to the Hawks is equitable to our loss to the Crows last year. They'll still be hard to beat. Freo on the other hand just don't have the talent.

These are the gateway to barracking for Essendon. 🤮

OK, that is a bridge too far! Into the naughty corner with you, and come back when you have had a good long think about what is right and true in this world.

I think you’re probably right re Brisbane, but it wouldn’t be the first time they’ve faded after starting the season well.

We could hardly have asked for a better set of results this weekend.

Geez. If we can get up next week Freo could fall as low as 8th.

It’d mean more if it was round 21 but a gap at anytime is great.

Collingwood and Hawthorns best is pretty good. Fremantle have been very average two weeks in a row, probably play off the charts next week. But I am not sure they have enough match winners to challenge for the flag.

Gardiner is a liability in defence.

Some fascinating games this weekend not the least being that which is played on Mars.

Some upsets late Sunday would be nice

How nice !!

With Geelong still being in their alternative universe premiership window they'd be mad not to offer Mundy a 3 year deal at the end of the season.

Smart move to put Frost in attack. With instructions to do your usual thing and make sure the ball goes through the big sticks behind you.

I hope that Slim Shady little runt tries that rubbish on us

Nothing wrong with it lol.

Good on him, backs it up with his footy and we need more characters like him in the game.

Loved it.

Boarding domestic for Hanoi and we’re 3 games nearly 50% in Top 4

Would have been better if Carlton and Geelong lost.

First game of the year whereby the losing side kicked 100 points.

Last year it happened twice.

In 2000 it happened 8 times in the first two rounds of footy.

How footy has changed over the last 20 odd years.

It's very good of our traditional rival clubs to show us ways to beat our immediate challengers Freo & Brisbane. Don't worry, we won't be merciful when it's your turn.

the word is they're going to offer buddy a 7 year deal

We now have the best PA (points against) and the third best PF (points for).

MFC 580 PA 938 PF

LIONS 745 PA 1065 PF

BLUES 813 PA 932 PF

FREO 608 PA 780 PF

I hated it, he hasn’t got a humble bone in his body, good club cultures wouldn’t put up with that kind of rubbish

And he’s not that good

I legitimately don’t think he was being a smart [censored], I just think he’s an excited kid. He’s so young. There’s no need to take the joy out of everything is there?

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
