How will we go against a "play on the edge" hard tough punishing thuggish team?

Credit to the eagles they are having a crack, almost the most we have been challenged all year

Would like to see Liam Ryan cop some retribution

Filthly bump from Ryan

He should get 6 weeks!  this is a horrible horrible game and will be our worst win forever! Wet toast tactics ... deplorable

Very average performance so far against poor opposition.

The only positive that can now come from this game is if we manage to get through injury free. 🤞🤞🤞

And our effort (especially tackling in forward 50) is the worst it’s been all year.

Serious question frankie_d . . . are there any this year?

Win take the four points and go home. Nothing else matters. Save your best for when you need it.

Id be very interested to have a look at the centre bounce and stoppage attendances that quarter. To my eye we tried a lot of different things.

I know Dees are not playing but will take 44 point lead in Perth anytime.  Top of ladder 8 zip reading some posts you would think it a calamity. You can’t be at the top of your game every week.

Ok.

We ripped st kilda open In a qtr

It's 3/4 time and we've tripled their score.  Lot of needless angst in this thread (as usual).

Seriously Goodwin should give them a little spray. We should be smashing this team by 80 points at least.

My heart sank when Bowey got it. I thought no he can't get concussed and miss next week.

Trac needs to work on his goal kicking. Hasn't been great the past few weeks.

Lets hope for a dominating final term

Sooo uh

Increased training load this week?

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
