Spirit of the Demon 256 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Admins please note that I’m not encouraging anyone to bet, just providing the first 2022 premiership market as an item of public interest - $5.00 Melbourne $7.00 Western Bulldogs $8.00 Brisbane $9.00 Geelong, Port Adelaide $11.00 Richmond, Sydney $15.00 West Coast $17.00 GWS Giants $21.00 St Kilda $26.00 Fremantle, Essendon $34.00 Carlton $67.00 Adelaide, Collingwood $81.00 Hawthorn, Gold Coast $101.00 North Melbourne 3 1 1 Quote
Bitter but optimistic 22,289 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 I can't have Geelong in that group. $15 to $20 is more like it. 9 Quote
Ollie fan 3,671 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 I couldn’t back against us for the premiership but, for the grand final, Essendon would be the smoky there! 4 1 Quote
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Sydney are my dark horse. GWS would have been to but no Toby for 5 rounds will hurt them. 2 Quote
Diamond_Jim 12,758 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Richmond is the interesting one. Was last year an aberration or the real thing 2 Quote
Adam The God 30,706 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 GWS and Essendon are my big concerns next year and what will Richmond deliver? Quote
durango 2,024 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Almost every year at least 2 or 3 teams miss the following year due to age or injuries to players last year St Kilda Collingwood Richmond and West Coast missed this years finals which is great for the AFL competition creating hope for supporters as well as heartbreak for others. I hope we are able to improve enough to stay ahead of the chasing pack who want our success to be a flash in the pan. Quote
dl4e 5,851 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 Why are Geelong placed so highly. Also that list tells me that the roos will be wooden spooners. That will not be the case. 3 Quote
Jibroni 5,056 Posted October 8, 2021 Posted October 8, 2021 GWS @ $17 is not bad value. West Coast the best chance from outside the top 8, not sure about the tigers. Quote
Allus Monk 568 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Fremantle and Essendon are on the line of betting Melbourne were at the start of this Season. Quote
Mr Steve 3,820 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 Melbourne have already been heavily backed into $4.50 . Quote

Essendon don’t have the defense to go all the way IMO. GWS have all the talent in the world. Something is not right with that club tho. 1 Quote

Rab D Nesbitt 8,951 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 At those odds it might be better to put a few $ on the threepeat instead. 1 1 Quote
DubDee 26,666 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 This time last year we had St Kilda odds to win the flag (~$21). what a 12 months it’s been Quote
Damo 3,464 Posted October 9, 2021 Posted October 9, 2021 If the Dees are $4.50 now, its a long way home. Any sneeze will see the odds blow out. Quote

GWS still have a stack of talent but I'm not sure they have the bookends. Phil Davis is cooked, Hogan can't string more than a few games together, Toby Green is suspended for the first five rounds & they've just sent a very serviceable forward in Finlayson packing for a 3rd rounder. The cherry on top is Bobby Hill now on the way out. I do agree Richmond could bounce back but a lot depends on whether they still have the hunger. Edited October 9, 2021 by adonski Quote

I would also have Carlton higher. I don’t think they will win the flag but they have the bones of a very good team now. Edited October 9, 2021 by Clint Bizkit Quote
