ATTN USERS WHO SIGNED UP FOR GF TICKETS

I joined the site in 2018 in part fear of potentially missing GF tickets (Alas we all know what happened there).

Demonland is a great site with healthy debate, helpful information and passionate discussions that go for pages about whether or Goodwin is indeed the right guy or not.

Do Stick around. I'm glad I did

ATTN EVERYONE ELSE

Happy to see many Demonlanders ending up with tickets, good to see other users helping out with barcodes too.

Now I'll try not open this thread again as it'll just remind me I won't be there aha.

Was that the 7/8 Girls at Scarborough yesterday. If so it was against our Sorrento Duncraig Yr 7/8 girls who brought home our clubs first ever girls Premiership

Sadly yes it was.  Congratulations.    We would have been the first for our club too, our other girls lost their 9/10 GF by 2 points.  But very proud of my team, they won 1 game last year to make a GF this year.

What did you guys think of playing on the big oval which I normally for yr 9/10.  Taking nothing away from Duncraig, it disadvantaged the way my team played.  We rely on a running/ground contest game being a short side.  It was just too far for our girls. Our full back normal clears to the centre on kick in, she was only making the 50 mtr mark. hence the girls were buggered from the extra running.

As a long standing forum member and OLD( 84) Demon supporter since 1948, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me have their membership number so that my daughter could take me to the Grand final. As a Melbourne member I could get a ticket but need help to get there. A big ask I know.

You can have mine BM but how the hell are you going to get there. PM me.

Somebody merge these identical topics

Would have been more then happy to help you out Bobby had you posted this yesterday ☹️

As stated earlier the MFC allocation of 12,000 sold out in 4 hours. I am so happy that my barcode went to a family friend who lives in W.A and is a demon fan AND she got a ticket.

According to the MFC email I was a category 3 member. Category 3 tickets are $350 with the category 1 being $450 wow any wonder they want to play in front of a crowd.

A Demons supporter since 1948! Wow! You have seen 7 Premierships. Impressive stuff!

I wish you all the very best in obtaining a ticket Bobby.

You should definitely consider writing an email to the Melbourne Football Club too and tell them about your current plight.

Good luck and I hope you can find someone out there who can give you their membership number.

Just had a long time Demonland member send me a code to use.

It was attached to a reserved seat membership with a Grand Final guarantee.

Heartbreaking that the membership holder has to pass it on to someone else, but just wanted to thank this member and let them know what a wonderful person they are.

faulty.

aaaaaaand its already been used.

haha

Have sent b/coad no. Faulty let me know if you didn't receive it.

Sorry if its already covered in other threads but I only found one post for this weekend on it in this thread by @Tassie DevilI think. Also not wanting to disappoint any others that missed tickets.

WA G2G pass? I assume there should be no issues since I'm flying direct from TAS but any advice on form completion for answers such as "Reason for Visit"... First MFC Premiership in my lifetime! etc.

Sorry mate we had our Year 10 boys playing in the GF at the same time and I watched that game so didn’t see the girls till they came back to the rooms to celebrate.
The boys I coached last season got caught out by playing on a smaller oval in the GF. We were far quicker and had greater endurance  but we struggled to match a bigger opponent in wet conditions on a smaller ground

For those who can attend I am so envious. I bought GF guarantee pre season for my wife and I as i just believed in this team. Unfortunately for me Queenslanders are required to quarantine so I am screwed. This is despite no community transmission for weeks. Anyway for those who attend please post pics and cheer your hearts out. What a privilege to be there and witness history.

I think we can arrange that. I’ll pm you the barcodes, they are GF guarantee tickets.
just make sure the lot of you yell loud and often.

Massive shout out to Dante for helping me out with some P1 codes. I was able to secure my tickets early and pass on my P2 barcodes to some big dees fans who  aren't members. Generous beyond words. Thank you very much 🔴🔵

Which of our SA/WA/NT/TAS long term demonland members who are going are yet to receive a barcode?

Me, if anyone has one please let me know. I’d love to take the old man. He almost jumped out of his skin on Friday

One of the options is "AFL Finals", so it's an accepted reason to enter WA.

Does anyone think they might have been conned by scalpers (or, worse, by Doggies supporters 😲)? Alerted by @WalkingCivilWar, I'm wondering...

I wasn't using my code, and I wouldn't scalp it myself, so 'good luck' to them, but I do feel a little silly.

It better go to a Raising Hell Dees fan, though!👹🤞

Don't worry Dee. You can be jealous for one day about the game, but all of those guys are jealous the other 364 days of the year that you get to live in Queensland.

Chin up mate.

You ought not feel silly, TRA’B!! Coz you’re by no means silly.
You’re a kind and trusting person and that’s a lovely trait. 💕

There was an option for "AFL finals" on the G2G application - obviously a huge boost to their economy. Pretty straightforward - need proof of vaccination so make sure you have that. Go Dees. Hope you secured tickets - and flights.

I am after 2 Bulldog member barcodes so that I can get tickets for the Grand final to support their team. You can email the barcodes to [email protected]

Wrong place, wrong time Les.

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

The Gold Coast Suns find themselves outside of the top eight for the first time since Round 1 with pressure is mounting on the entire organisation. Their coach Damien Hardwick expressed his frustration at his team’s condition last week by making a middle-finger gesture on television that earned him a fine for his troubles. He showed his desperation by claiming that Fox should pick up the tab.  There’s little doubt the Suns have shown improvement in 2025, and their position on the ladder is influenced to some extent by having played fewer games than their rivals for a playoff role at the end of the season, courtesy of the disruption caused by Cyclone Alfred in March.  However, they are following the same trajectory that hindered the club in past years whenever they appeared to be nearing their potential. As a consequence, that Hardwick gesture should be considered as more than a mere behavioral lapse. It’s a distress signal that does not bode well for the Queenslanders. While the Suns are eager to remain in contention with the top eight, Melbourne faces its own crisis, which is similarly deep-seated but in a much different way. After recovering from a disappointing start to the season and nearing a return to respectability among its peer clubs, the Demons have experienced a decline in status, driven by the fact that while their form has been reasonable (see their performance against the ladder leader in the Kings Birthday match), their conversion in front of goal is poor enough to rank last in the competition. Furthermore, their opponents find them exceptionally easy to score against. As a result, they have effectively eliminated themselves from the finals race and are again positioned to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.

  • REPORT: Port Adelaide

Of course, it’s not the backline, you might argue and you would probably be right. It’s the boot studder (do they still have them?), the midfield, the recruiting staff, the forward line, the kicking coach, the Board, the interchange bench, the supporters, the folk at Casey, the head coach and the club psychologist  It’s all of them and all of us for having expectations that were sufficiently high to have believed three weeks ago that a restoration of the Melbourne team to a position where we might still be in contention for a finals berth when the time for the midseason bye arrived. Now let’s look at what happened over the period of time since Melbourne overwhelmed the Sydney Swans at the MCG in late May when it kicked 8.2 to 5.3 in the final quarter (and that was after scoring 3.8 to two straight goals in the second term).

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.

The Demons have the Bye next week but then are on the road once again when they come up against the Gold Coast Suns on the Gold Coast in what could be a last ditch effort to salvage their season. Who comes in and who comes out?
