Thank you DZ! I just watched this three times over and I’m sure if I was to watch it 3000 times over it would still be as moving. ā¤ļøšŸ’™

My skills only go as far a YouTube search, some people are very quick with this stuff.

This one is very good, almost had me crying like I did in the movie.

Last night the thing that really got to me is how many victories I have missed live this year. It has really hit home now Ā how much enjoyment I have missed in 2021.

They were both first quarter, and very frustrating, butĀ he learned pretty quickly. He was immense in the last. I love his physicality and contested, competitive buy-in. That was his best game, and pretty much secures him for next week. Well done Tommy!Ā

One of the aspects of Tom’s game which is not widely recognised is his elite kicking ability: regularly kicks accurately 60+m, on the run or set shot. A great weapon in the positions he will play in the future

The canned laughter should have been played when Cameron and Henderson collided ...either that or the Benny Hill music.

That was the moment where I thought we were going to win.

My 15 year old daughter, who doesn’t normally care for footy at all, had tuned in because of my carrying on. She saw that collision and laughed and said ā€œwhat the heck?ā€, to which I replied, ā€œthat’s the sort of thing players do when they think they’re about to lose.ā€

Melbourne was 50 points in front of Essendon in an Anzac Day matchĀ in the early 1990's. Northey was the coach. They lost.

You're not thinking of round 6, 1992, when the Dees were up by 41 points at 3QT and still lost? Anyway, yesterday's win puts that out of my mind. It's only taken 29 years...

If that was an Anzac day round you're right. I was driving a taxi that day, tuning in at the Park Street Rank in north Carlton.

Umpiring just seems consistently bad week after week, both the deliberate out of bounds and dangerous tackle rules are being over umpired. I'd just love to watch a game where I don't notice the umpires

But here's the thing I have it from a former VFL/ AFLĀ  umpire who has also run the umpiring at a few different local leagues, that umpires, at the moment would be trying to impress so they get selected for finals/ Grand Final. So what hope do we have?

About to watch the last Q highlights again. Best part is not having to Fast Forward thru any Geelong goals.Ā

You'd think they recorded the show at half time on Saturday night

Surely he has to be some form of elaborate troll? Wtf was the comment about Geelong's 'star power'?Ā

It was bizarre. Montagna was the only one making real sense.

Hated that no one pulled him up on it.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.Ā  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
