Range Rover to the snow

It doesn't matter whether you use the Blu-ray player or the TV to do upscaling - there's still only a 720x576i picture to work with. You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear through upscaling. Far better to just watch the replays through afl.com.au (or through the AFL app if you need to AirPlay/Chromecast to the big screen) which are 1. free and 2. 1280x720p... (As an aside, the Herald Sun shop finally got my mug to me 😄)

One is wool and one is the finest acrylic...

Only the grand final is. (And it might be cheaper at EzyDVD.)

On to membership year number 15 (joined at the end of 2007)... And speaking of which, I just noticed there's a 'reward and recognition' scheme on the MFC site. https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/reward-recognition Is this new? (I can't recall having seen it before...)

I got mine on about 8 November after I emailed them at [email protected] (the web contact form doesn't work) (Which reminds me, I need to chase up where the mug I ordered is. They said it had shipped but it's still out of stock on the Hun shop site...)

Erm - I think only the Grand Final is on Blu-ray. Everything else is just DVD...

Those of us who were there on ANZAC Day 1992 know that the Chris Sullivan Line is real; only at 8 goals up can one start to breathe easy...

Not out until December (and cheaper at https://www.ezydvd.com.au/DVD/AFL-Premiers-2021-Melbourne-Complete-Season-Collection-Limited-Release/dp/6225238 to boot)... (What's not clear either is whether the whole lot is in HD, or just the grand final. I suspect the latter because it's a 27 disc set. I imagine this would comprise 22 H&A round DVDs, QF DVD, PF DVD, GF DVD, GF Blu-ray and highlights DVD...)

DVD is always 720x576i SD maximum (US DVDs are 720x480i SD). The Grand Final DVD is no exception to this. The Blu-ray of the Grand Final should be 1920x1080p HD (so a step up from what was broadcast which is 1920x1080i). There's no 4K Blu-ray proposed as far as I can see (even though I'd like that)...

A big 👍 for the Demon Shop who sent out a replacement for my Premiers record that had the torn cover. It was sent yesterday and arrived today… No fighting required, and a painless change. 😎 (My Herald Sun order apparently has shipped because the mug came back into stock. They sent it Express Post but no sign of it so far…)

Darn it. I've sent an email off to the Hun shop to see if they'll cancel and refund the mug (which is out of stock on their site)...

Is anyone else still waiting for their Mark Knight limited edition poster (the red and blue one)? All these reports of shipping are making me nervous (I'm worried that my last minute decision to throw a mug into the order might be causing issues...)

Got my second order from the MFC store today... And the Premiers record came with a torn front cover because the idiots in the shipping warehouse stuffed the mouse mats and a magnet into the front cover... Urgh. This is going to be a hassle to sort out...

I hadn't noticed Daniel's reaction to Oliver's goal before: hands out 'how do we deal with that?!?'...

I got one order from the Demon shop the other day (wool scarf and beanie, premiership polo and cap). Waiting on another order from the MFC shop (another cap, Premiers record, sticker, magnet, 2 x can coolers, 2 x mouse mats), and a Herald Sun order (1 x limited poster, 3 x regular posters, and a mug).

The interchange was implemented after 1964, while the medisub was only introduced this year (allowing for the 23rd player to claim a medal)...

Carlton Draught? Pffft... A nice premiership shiraz is more in style...

Will be interesting to see if they try Weideman playing alongside Brown next year. Would be good to start building him up...

The way he was working full back trying to spoil JJ's mark in Q3 was a genuine 'WTF?' moment in the granny. Really impressive!
