IN: MAY, VINEY, MCDONALD

OUT: J.SMITH, SPARROW, MELKSHAM

May and TMac come back in. Viney maybe.  Smith played well be will lose his spot.

Out: Smith, Sparrow, Melksham

In: May, Viney, McDonald

We rarely make multiple changes  particularly coming off a win, but I think these are clear upgrades from our 22 today.

Good game from Smith as well, perhaps Hibberd might feel nervous.

Doesn’t Viney have another week?

Edit: nope.

Just put Brayshaw in the middle for a bit - he's a natural midfielder, and I know he's been doing a great job defensively on that wing, but I reckon he'd be better in the middle than Harmes/Sparrow combined. Who goes on the wing? Harmes? Viney?

Out: sparrow, Jordan

In: may and tmac/Viney

I reckon keep smith in

and put Brayshaw  more in the middle and move rivers or salem in his spot on the wing

Agree, one minor modification!
Smith played pretty well, possibly stays as medi-sub, VDB out.

Think he missed last and alt his week, so good to replace Sparrow!

The most obvious one is May for Smith. I'll admit I'm terribly biased against him but I didn't rate that game from Smith anywhere near as highly as others. Hasn't curbed his desire to run and push up the ground but was caught out of position a number of times by losing track of his opponent, getting sucked up the ground and then burnt on transition. Very handy depth and good to get a game into him pre-finals if we need him, but he goes straight out if May's fit.

We're better with Viney than we are with Sparrow or Jordon based on their games today, so I think that's a second change.

TMac should come back in as well, then the question becomes whether it's the other of Sparrow/Jordon, or Melksham.

Brayshaw didn't get near it all day but having played all season, and with the ball on the other wing for lots of the game, I'd be surprised if he gets dropped now.

Nope, done his 2.

Sparrow and Jordon both omitted, Smith to make way for May (played well so unfortunate but credit where it’s due).

Melksham, Brayshaw put on notice.

If the Bye week gets cancelled then I reckon we should consider a rest for one or two of Jordan, Kozzie, Salem

Could run Jones in, preserve Smith, and maybe leave Sparrow in (although he's out for finals)

Salem's been sore for weeks

In. Viney TMAC and May

Out. Melksham Sparrow Hibberd.

If TMAC is not 100% right then the weed.

No weed.....  we have shown the last 3 weeks we don't need him

IN...: Viney, McDonald, May
OUT: Sparrow, Spargo, Hibberd

No way.

I like Spargo, don't get me wrong. Probably Melksham in reality.

I think its pretty clear cut. Anyone sore other that needs to be managed like May this week.

May for Smith

Viney for Sparrow

TMac for Melksham

i'm not sure why they played Salem today to be fair if that is the case

I can't see them managing people if top 2 are on the line.   Home final in Perth for top or away in Adelaide for 3rd.

I think the bigger question is what do we do if dogs beat port do we then make some late changes to give some a rest, like bringing in daw for Gawn or giving trac a rest, or do we not flirt with it and go all out to win

Smith not good enough out MAY in

T Mac in

Kossie out Jones in

Melksham stays

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
