Don’t remind me, the first game of the year I saw in person.

We should win this one in a canter. Crows have nothing to play for and we have top spot on the line.

Dees by 40+

Last 4 years (including this year), Adelaide produced in MCG:

2018    Rd 13   Hawthorn  vs  Adelaide   MCG      88:32   lost by 56

Rd 16   Richmond  vs  Adelaide   MCG   103:56   lost by 47

2019    Rd19      Carlton     vs  Adelaide   MCG      87:60   lost by 27

2020                                     None

2021    Rd22   Melbourne vs Adelaide   MCG      ? : ?     lost by 20+

I reckon this time, the max points Demons would allow Crows to kick are 60, Demons themselves will kick over 80.

I felt both B Brown and Viney are slowly but getting better and better.

I like Koz, I like May and his recent interview.

I like Melksham's mark and goal kicking last Monday. In Rd 5 Hawthorn's game (in MCG), he kicked 3.0, no behinds. Let's prepare some instant milkshake ready for this afternoon...

Go Melksham, go Koz, go Dees!

Should be another enjoyable day. Wouldn’t mind seeing kozzie boot 5

Ger the 4 points without heart stress and injuries

The last time we beat Adelaide at the G, (the late) Colin Sylvia, Jurrah and Moloney were running amok.

Let’s hope Collingwood are the only side we couldn’t beat in 2021.

Tis strange. All the TV guides have 7 broadcasting essendon/goldcoast at 3pm.Guess we will have to wait and see.

Not sure nationally, but our game today will only be on Fox Footy from a Victorian perspective.

Perhaps In SA it will be on channel 7 but doubtful anywhere else.

I know I’m not always positive about things but jeez this a negative spin.

Percentage doesn’t mean anything now but I would ours to go above the Bulldogs to further reinforce that we have been the best team all year.

I’m actually pointing out how outstanding our season has been to beat all but one side, assuming we salute today. That’s next level brilliant.

It’s a positive comment.

It's opening up for us somewhat. Teams around us are getting key injuries while we still have a charmed run.

We need to make the most of it and cement a top 2 spot. Can't rely on the dogs winning next week, just win today and in Geelong or we run the risk of playing port in Adelaide

I expect us to be switched on and professional. Players are playing for finals spots so no hollywood BS. Heat, intensity, system, method. The Crows fired their last bullets in the showdown last weekend so won't put up much resistance unless we give them a sniff.

50 point Dees win. BB to kick 5

Reminder the the aggrieved masses - handballs over the head is in vogue... it's not the 90's anymore.

Agree on BBB. Viney won’t be playing….Still suspended.

It's a still, partly cloudy morning here on the west side of town. It might only be 8am but there's a hint of warmth in the air and the cherry blossoms are blooming on the tree out front of HQ so September must be within touching distance. In these lockdown times it'll be a stripped back game day affair with a walk round to our local caff Sadie Black for some take away lunch that'll be washed down by some bottles of Sunset from the Two Birds brewery down in Spotswood. Enjoy the game everyone, wherever and how ever you'll be watching it.

Eat Mexican last night?

Reckon it's a Ben Brown kind of day. Tipping 4 or 5 goals today and really stamp himself, and remind the competition that he's still got it.

Agreed on this CB.  Win today and were' playing for top next week and will be above the Dogs.

Also, looking at the losses this year, I believed at the game that GWS are worthy finalists after their win against us, the Hawks showed they a a good team yesterday and the draw could be called noteworthy (?), and the Pies had the Buckley emotion.

Adelaide were the only outlier in the Dees performance this year.

Lets put that to bed today and we have beaten just about all comers so far this year. Self-doubt inside the club would be non-existent going into finals.

I would welcome the chance to play a team that hasn't beaten a top side all year in Port (rather than Geelong) for first week of finals.

You’re a Melbourne supporter??

A win with no injuries is that aim of the day. Could be a big day for BBB. Maybe the day he breaks out as a Dee.

With Covid numbers in Victoria going backwards, a win today is the only thing that can put a smile on the face of Melbourne supporters. Let’s do this!

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
