    I don't like blaming the umps but they're keeping port in this. Motlop DROPPED the ball!

    Mind you, kicking straight to Alir is not smart footy. Brown was right behind him. Kick it a little higher, Jesus.

    Time to put JJ on Wines.  Viney looks pretty spent.  Lingers ...no need to panic on that kick.

    How was that not dropping the ball on Motlop?  He also threw the other one earlier two handed for the Wines' goal.

    Port player runs over the line under no pressure.  Not intentional.

    No rules for Port with ball in hand! Anything goes.

    What a great backline effort again. Petty again and again. May out muscling Dixon. Playing for each other.

    Oliver doing plenty, including getting back to support the defenders.

    Is wines playing?

    Jackson doing well, hard to match up on.

    Langdon again, good desire.

    Tracc finding the ball and space.

    Need more when we handball it, as we a missing the hit ups. Some great hands and clean footy from some.

    Generally, good effort by everyone, though a couple can still lift, Brayshaw, Spargo, ANB, Harmes, Gawn, Viney, Fritta. 

    Looks like we want it, and are in a good position to take it. 

    A few more unanswered goals and we take the crowd out of the game, till Ports second wind.

    Important quarter.

Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
