Weideman to half time v pies. 2 handballs. 3 fumbles. Zero scores. Zero tackles.
Weid is getting the nod, and got the coach and us supporters backing. But I’m starting to lose hope and the Weid has to step up.
Brown might get the call up after the bye.

Weirderman’s last game until round 17, at least, thanks. BBB can’t possibly be worse than this.

Weid is not the answer going forward got Ben brown for a reason just play him

Yep. I agree. Lucky for us we have had this season to weed out the 3rd best forward. Weideman isn’t up to it.

I am a huge Weideman fan, but enough is enough. After the bye, Ben Brown plays for the remainder of the year.

It’s been a great year so far but I’m getting pretty sick of not turning up against garbage sides.

A clear pattern of behaviour has been established in the last 7 weeks, starting with the first 3 qtrs of the Hawks games in round 5.

Honestly it seems like Weid is invisible out there...

Does he have the worst leading patterns in the league? Almost always out of position

Almost always seems to have no separation from his man

Yes to BBB for mine. Let's give him a shot

Weideman has absolutely no presence as a forward target.

Needs to be dropped. Give Brown the rest of the year to see what he can do.

This part. If Ben Brown plays, defenders swarm because he’s such a threat.

If Weed survives this then he definitely has something on Goodwin.

There is no hiding now Contract or no Contract.

I think it is overwhelming now, time for a spell Weed.

B Brown may not have set the world on fire in his three games but if he got dropped after the form he showed, Weideman must be dropped now too.

0 marks, 0 kicks, 1 tackle.

The lack of goals is bad enough but it's the lack of contest. Brought the ball to ground once I think, and only because he was so far behind he had to spoil rather than try to mark. Outworked in the air, non-existent on the ground.

It's time for us to make the switch and plan for and play with a TMac/B Brown forward line from here on.

Both have had a block of games now and both have been mediocre. But I think on form and maturity I would want Brown in there after the bye to see if things click. I think Browns big body will be invaluable in finals. Weideman is not attacking enough for me at the moment.

Brown has way more of a presence and attracts several defenders. Weid is lost at sea.

Easy swap for mine. We have Jacko as a tall who can also provide ground ball pressure.

Today simply answered part of the main query for the team all season - who is the 3rd forward (even T mac was in doubt at the start of the year).

Today we learnt finally Weid isn't it. So now its over to either of the Browns to take theuir chance.

Ben Brown holds marks and makes the opposition nervous.

Weiderman does not.

Tmac also plays better with B.Brown then he does Weiderman

At least Bbb can hold a mark. Does weid use to much hand sanitizer before the game?

Cant take a trick marking.

Bbb should not have been dropped.

At least we know where we stand with SW now.

All the best for him. I wish it were different but its not sadly.

I remember when Weid was tearing up the VFL, and it was mentioned that due to Majak’s form, we might want to play him before Weid.

Rightly, Weid would be infuriated if that happened.

Right now, BBB would have the right to be annoyed if he doesn’t get another crack. If you have two steady efforts and a mare (even in that Carlton game, there were two occasions he got his lead cut off by a teammate) while working in a new system vs. Weeds four to five consecutive shockers, then a meritocracy should give you another chance.

And if BBB doesn’t fire, give Mitch Brown a run. We are six years in and the bloke is still playing like a skittish pony. I expect it in year one, but he’s still playing like a first or second year player.

Strange though that he can do so well in the twos.

But yep he looked lost today.

I dont know if hes lost speed or times his leap poorly but he just cant hold on to the ball.

Talk about butter fingers.

Hes played over fifty games now and is not giving a good return so I really think his future at the club may be in jeopardy.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
