If one of Hawkins or Cameron get injured girlong are gone. With them both they are a threat.

I blame Tim Kelly for this whole thing! He goes to any other club first and the cats don’t have the picks they’ve used to bring in players that have made them substantially better. It’s so irritating that he ended up being such a gun as a mature age player - and got them so many picks after just 2 years in their system. They did nothing to develop the guy and it kissed them on the [censored].

Richmond are a massive threat even from 8th. Geelong on their sheer experience alone are a scary finals proposition. Brisbane can also do serious damage and are very well balanced all over the ground.
I don’t rate the Dogs or Port because they are poor defensively and don’t know what to do when the game is not played on their terms. Both will make finals and both will probably win a few but they won’t make the grand final. Port especially if they don’t get a home final.
West Coast and Sydney making up numbers.

Richmond scare me more than anyone although I think our midfield and rucks are superior to both them and Geelong.

Look at Richmond's draw from here. They've been given an absolute platter.

They can easily slot into top 4.

It’s pretty tough for Richmond as they are likely competing with Lions, Port, and Sydney for 4th who have similar runs home. Games against other top 8 teams remaining is below.

Richmond - 3

Port - 3

Sydney - 3

Lions - 3

WC - 5

Geelong - 4

Melbourne - 4

Dogs - 5

Cameron was BoG for me. Great game. Hawkins is very good.

but to put Rohan in their league and call it a 3 pronged attack? Please. Rohan is a hack. Gets on the end of a few. That is all

That's not looking at the team aspect DD.

Rohan is a very skilled (if underwhelming at times). But with the 2 big bananas he has the third defender ( similar to Fritsch) and is hard to match.up on.

He will have his  best season this year and Geelong are right in this premiership mix due to Cameron and the flow on effect for the forward line.

You underestimate Rohan's role and presence at your peril ( just like Fritta).

Be warned the evidence is starting to look you in the eye.

Credit to Geelong, they are well coached and know how to win. They're a threat but i believe our defence and system trumps they're firepower

Put a line through Port as a contender. Defense no where near good enough

yeah my dislike for them is probably clouding my judgement.  They have been up for 16 bloody years. although they havent won it in 10.

losing to them in a GF I am not sure I could take.  bunch of oiled up wankers

Do either team know how to defend?  Geelongs rubbish hb possession game and port still can’t set up.  Geelong holding and cheating all game (got called start of the 4th).  Port letting its two key oppo targets roam unmanned. High scoring but little system wide defending.

No more 16 minute qtrs for Port and games in Carrara. Can't run out a full AFL game, bunch of downhill skiers.

The game last night reminded me of a 1980's game where both sides kicked 22 goals. Crap defence on both sides.

I hope the AFL are strategically looking at how to improve the standard of umpiring, including simplification of the rules (it can't just be poor judgement by all of them). These are supposed to be the best umpires in the country. I find myself screaming at the TV for non-Melbourne games now, which is my lowest point.

It's not the rules its the way the umpires are coached to "interpret" them.

I think I'll be cheering for the Swans tonight to keep as big a gap between the top four and Richmond as possible.

Heeney is a gun. I think I typed this last week.

Frankenstein looks cooked … enjoying Frosty working him over, but how long can it last.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
