Good teams just find a way to win. 26 points up with a couple of minutes to go and our boys are still chasing opponents down. Keep accumulating those 4 points.

I'm obviously happy we got the points, but it felt a little flat. Not even sure who our star was. Probably Tommy in the first half. And some of our smalls kicking goals when we needed, Spargo, Kosi, ANB etc.

Will need to lift big time against the Doggies and lions.

Personally, I am really pleased to see the team function well - and in particularly the forwardline - in the first game of the iteration that they have presumably wanted with Brown, Tmac, Weid and Fritsch in.

29 scoring shots - plus a couple that went wide, in wet conditions.

Satisfying.

Take a bow..

Tmac

Oliver

May

Salem

Thats nine zero folks.

Go you beautful Demons.

Cameos from Kozzie and Nibbler.

Thought Gus was better

Haven't seen the game but a few things I noticed were:

  1. Carlton kicked 10.8. That is the fourth consecutive week we've conceded 18 scoring shots, which we also conceded in Rounds 1 and 2. It is the highest amount of scoring shots registered against us all year (the other three games were 13, 15 and 14).
  2. The fourth quarter was level. Whilst we didn't win it, we obviously also didn't lose it, meaning we've still only lost one fourth quarter all season.
  3. An interesting flip in clearances: this week we were +1 in centre clearances but -16 in stoppage clearances.

The game was without commentary on TV. All i heard was barracking (for CFC) by BT and Brayshaw.

NVM, we stuck it up 'em in the end.

Go Dees!

  • Hunt best game for a while
  • Spargo best game for year?
  • Petty looked more assured
  • Brayshaw better but still a bit wasteful
  • River's continues to fly under radar
  • Chandler not ready but wouldn't mind seeing him play at least another game

Im sure we will soon. I dont think we are playing our best with the same slow starts.

Full credit to us though we got another raw deal from unprofessional umpires but like every other match we just kept pushing and pushing.

Our fwd structure was off today as was our midfield in the first half.

We will sort it out and find our best form at the best time.

Max seems tired as does Trac but you cant keep champions down.

Full credit to Langdon again. Just always playing his absolute best and never kwts us down.

Spargo growing in confidence.

Olivers fitness is fantastic.

Where woyld we be without Tmac...five and four if lucky.

He is as good as he ever was.

Well done Trac for helping wash all that stuff out of Chandler’s eyes. Poor bugger really copped a proper Gatorade (and Milk????) shower.

He is horrible! Worst commentating of a game ever. Also when will the commentators start actually talking us up. Just because we are not Richmond they always have to criticise and just sound down about us!

Decent win. Did what we had to do.

Defence is solid and dependable. Not sure about all the talls up forward. Pressure game was off. Clearance work so so. Skills weren’t great but it was tough to hold onto the ball in the conditions.

TMac excellent first half. Salem was probably best for us overall. Lever and May very good. Oliver did some good things. Most players contributed.

Trac trying too hard. Just needs to forget about the contract and do the simple things well.

The Weid did ok for his first game. Chandler offered little and will struggle to hold his spot.

I liked the fact that Kozzie showed some sportsmanship. He should be applauded for that.

They say the hallmark of a good team is to win playing badly. So shouldn’t really complain too much. But it would be great to see us hit out stride and play well for 4 quarters.

We bank the 4 points and move on.

Go Dees.

9 from 9 but we need to lift. It must be difficult hating life.

Good win without really getting out of 3rd gear. Jimmy Jordon had a great game for me. Bit wasteful in front of goals, else the margin probably would have been 8-10 goals.

Seemed like Carlton were the only team on the park where the holding the man rule applied
