Just watched the highlights ofย  the RD13 game v Essendon in 2014.

I was working on that game and can remember being in disbelief when I realised we could win.

ย

But for me personally. The 2016 Hawthorn win. When Stretch jams that bullet through the middle in the last!ย

ย

Anything from 1994 is my AFL comfort food. ย Finalย against Footscray is a favourite.

ย

Anything involving Alan Jakovich kissing his brother or bicycle kicking it over his head or high fiving a crowd member.ย

1994 Round 24 vs Sydney. Hadย to win to get into the Finals and knock Richmond out. Schwarz kicked 9 from everywhere on the ground, was the first name a game video I got and myself and then my Old Man woreย the video out. Ahhh the 90's.

Finals aside the Jack Watts Queens birthday game is a big highlight.

In terms of turning a corner (it seemed at the time) the Gold Coast game Round 1 2015 was a real lift. We beat up a fancied Suns team and played some really good footy. And I remember we scored our first coast to coast in I donโ€™t know how long. I was in disbelief when Dom Tyson slotted it. The first really enjoyable Saturday afternoon I had spent at the G in ages.

The 2000 final v Carlton where Green and Bruce tore them apart is my favorite.

ย

When I still had my VCR working, it was the 1998 final round vs Richmond.

Melbourne could go top 4 with a win (after finishing last in 1997), Tiges needed to win to make the finals.

Farmer's mark in the opening minutes and then a clinical dismantling of Richmond over 4 quarters.ย

ย

Final quarter against essenscum at windy hill in the 90s. Bennet tore them apart in the last quarter.

This was mine for years until the VCR finally tore up theย tape.ย ย

Now i go to the Melbourne Geelong Elimination Final and if i just need a quick lift I just search for Hannan running in for the sealing goalย

Have to say 98 was amazing.ย  The backend from the games we beat West Coast at Subiaco, this Richmond game, then the finals smashing Adelaide, St Kilda only to fall to North in the prelim.ย  Some of the most exciting free flowing football that you will every see

Geelong and Hawthorn finals 2018.

Same. Still have original recordings on IQ of the finals gamesย plus R22 game v WC and R23 v GWS.

If IQ was a cassette tape I'm sure it'll be well worn by now.

Thereโ€™s a few winsย in the last 30 years that stand out and I revisit,ย butย Iโ€™d have to say the last quarter of theย qualifying final against Carlton in 2000 gave me the biggest buzz at a game that I can remember.ย

For individual brilliance, Wizโ€™s 9 goal second half blitz against the Pies also in 2000ย has the most views here Iโ€™d say.ย

Have to agree. The last quarter against Hawthorn in 2016 was a coming of age sort of quarterย for us.

We'd gone from losing to Essendon by 147 points and going nowhere as a club to beating the 3 time reigning premiers three years later. We also came close to them in the earlier game that year.

Watts and Tyson kicked some fantastic goals late in that game as well as Stretch.

Jakovich's 11.8 against North in 1991 against the asbestos-laden old Southern Stand demolition site.

Knocking Geelong off at Kardinia Park under Roos.ย

Killingย off the Hawks' winning streak the year after their 3rd consecutive flag.

First quarter of elimination final in 2018 against the Cats.

Knocking the Pies off at Vic Park in 1991ish.

2000 Qualifying Final vs Carlton.

Yep. Definitely right up there. Iirc Pederson played a big role in that win as well.

Round 1 2005 Melbourne v Essendon at the G. This was theย Troy Broadbridge memorial match and it'sย the only match day DVD I've ever bought. Still chokes me up as it did when I saw the match in the flesh. If you've got a spare hour or two, it's on You tube. And we won convincingly.ย (Prettyย bloody good team we had btw when you see them walk out).ย

What beats the Melbourne V Bulldogs at the Westernย Oval when we needed to beat them and Hawthorn needed to beat Geelong for us to make the finals for the first time in 23 years. It was the final round.

With 2 mins to go in our game and holding The Dogs just about every Dees supporter at the ground was glue and listening to the radios as the siren went at Kardinia p[ark and Hawthorn hung on to a 3 point win coming from behind thanks to Dunstall'sย winning goal.

The Dees supporters at the ground all went ballistic while our game was still in progress it felt by the players of both clubs had stopped and thinking the siren had gone. However the Melbourne boys would have worked it out quickly l believe.

Brings a tear to my eye, 1987.ย  They did it for Robbie,
