Yep. We're just one good preseason away.

And there’ll always be next year.

I love Gawn and I know these garbage articles are just fodder for the media and have to be done.

But Jesus if my eyes could roll out of head while I read the same thing each pre-season, I would have gone blind years ago.

Agree, I see a heading like that and no mater what content is in the article all I read is Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah.  I know we need content on our website and we will see many over the next 4 months, hopefully come March April we can see something to be really excited about

Your reaction is the same as most Dees supporters.

The trouble with those words is they sound very hollow because they have never been backed up by deeds.

I would prefer if the messaging was different. Acknowledge past failures and shortcomings. Say we’ll let our footy do the talking when the season rolls around. Something other than the usual guff. I find it a little insulting tbh.

Yes its fluff but I do question the value of these pieces and why they have to be published at all.

Reminds me of what they say in Brazil..."Brazil is the country of the future and always will be".

I admire Gawns attitude but gee wizz.

It has to happen some time, funny Ooze said Similar words about the team needing to jell together, we have the team and the talent do we have the heart and desire to be the best that we can possibly be???

Yeah agree, I’d actually prefer it if the club kept a bit quiet and Max just said, hopefully our actions will speak loader than words

Leave it at that

I'd be happy for the club to can all the shop talk until March then drop a new documentary. Until then Max could talk about something he has a better handle on like jaffles or coffee.

Death taxes and one these Pre season Melbourne articles.

Signal in the red flags.

The media knows exactly which club (clubs) to get outlandish delusional quotes from.

We are the gift that keeps on giving this time of year.

This was said to me 30 years 'Object oriented design is the way of the future and has been so for the last 10 years'.

Not quite sure why I am sharing that.

Anyway could I just say that I have been ready for success since 1965.  I think the team is too and if they dont get it they will go elsewhere.

Get it right....it is inheritance taxes

This is talking the house down in preparation for training the house down. It's like a pre-season for pre-season.

Actions, Max. We're not interested in any words, unless they involve me winning Tattslotto.

Club needs to stop  these type of BS fluff!

Enough talk & let ur winning do the talking as been hearing how excited  they are for over a decade!

Come on Gawney  let's get serious not Delirious!  We are becoming the Gunna guys.  We are Gunna do this and we are Gunna do that.

Stop breaking my heart !

Bring on To Hell and Back #2!

I'm glad he's positive, and he should be as there are some guys that can seriously play in our team. Time to make something of it.

Christ this club just can’t help itself. It loves to talk and that’s about it.

How about shutting up and just getting to work?

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
