A team with no keyforward, trading away an arguably A-Grade mid in Treloar when fit & firing, a B grade winger and a potential A grade small/medium forward for a crack at a midfielder for the 2023 season would be the worst list management decision of all time, even on the slim chance they landed him.

Have the pies cleared space now to launch at Trac for 2022?

Are they already there?

No

Could I suggest that the thread title have a question mark to minimise the risk of us collectively having kittens.

100% agree. annoying thread title.

I’m sure every team would love Trac. Zero chance he goes to an imploding rabble like the pies though

No doubt the filth would like to get their hands on Trac, as would the other 16 clubs.

silly thread with a silly title

That's not going to stop players from going to the pies mate.

They're a big club. They'll naturally attract good players.

I heard they are offering him a contract of 650k for the first seven years and then 4 million a year for the final two.

Family are big pies supporters, & he grew up one. Not that that means anything.

That is right the Family support the pies and are very keen. I have worried about that since he was drafted. The Pies will get in his ear no doubt and IMO i would not be surprised that we would have a fight in our hands to hold on to him.

His manager is his brother. Interesting times ahead.

There’s no point worrying about what Trac may or may not do in 2 years’ time. Coaching and game plan are the immediate concerns for me. If we get our act together and are successful on the field then contract extensions will take care of themselves. If not then our best players might leave as is their right under free agency.

Pretty sure he's brother works for a different player management company and doesn't manage Christian?

Correct on both points.  another-petracca-making-a-name-for-himself-off-the-field

His manager is Robbie D’Orazio of Connors Sports Management.

Think of the thread title being about dietary advice for Petracca. Makes as much sense.

So we have Petracca to the Pies, Oliver to the Blues, Brayshaw to Freo, Jackson to WCE.

Of course clubs will try to poach Petracca from us when his contract is up, he will be considered a top 1-3 player in the competition by then.  It is up to the club and players to have success so good players don't leave

Yes your  right there l was lead to believe at the time.  Someone very close to me introduced me to his brother Julian who manages a few players at different clubs and one of them is at Melbourne. at the time l just assumed the way he was talking that he managed him.  That is  all l can say now.

Yep l do worry if we are good enough to hold onto our best players. Can we afford to keep them ? Time will tell.

My opinion is that there's a bit of a misunderstanding by some regarding Collingwood's salary cap dump.  From what I can gather, they had to get rid of those players otherwise they would've been over the salary cap.  So while they have shaved close to $2m off this season, that could actually bring them back to paying 100% for 2021.

I could be wrong, but that's my reading of the tea leaves.

Why bring this up now?

Sick of this #*&@ every year, lets just give a rest.

Because for a lot on here MFCSS turns them into the ultimate pessimists, with no reason to be.
