Would have thought they are similar to us and need proper small zippy blokes, rather than mid-sized plodders

I still dont know what to make of him

looks the goods then goes missing for long periods

Has some usefull skills  I would probably try to keep him

Probably had the best month of his career when he came back in to the side this year but soon faded.

Could he have one great summer and fix his body for good and find consistent form - maybe.

But if the bulldogs are keener to find out than we are then we probably have to let him go.

When he’s at his best he is super zippy and a good pressure player too. Unfortunately when he drops away he loses the defensive part of his game as well as the attack

Has the right skills and attributes, but just goes missing for too long in games. His body seems to let him down and not allow him to build any consistency. We can afford to lose him, but he could still become a decent player if he can get his body right.

Not surprised the Doggies are keen on him as a cheap option. They would've seen a lot of him as he came from their VFL environment and we pinched him.

I like Mitch and that goal he kicked against Geelong in the final will live long in the memory.

I think we need to renew through our half forward-wing line on our list though. If the Doggies are keen, good luck to all involved.

Has all the makings of an excellent mid sized forward. Good mark. Good kick. Good pace.  Kicks goals.

But goes missing and sometimes tries to our mark key position teammates and opponents when he should be crumbing or presenting short option.

Hard to see him commanding a position but rotated in and out of the team with Fritta, Vandenburg, Melksham, ANB getting first crack.

If we need to make a tough decision out of Hunt and Hannan, I'd re-sign Hunt and show Hannan the door.

He was disappointing this year aside from the Richmond and NSW hub games. In 4 games towards the end of the season he averaged 5 possessions, 1 tackle and 0 goals. That can't cut at it this level.

Very much in the 'maybe a fresh start will sort him out' category of players. A trade to the dogs where he'd already know a few people courtesy of VFL time would seem like a good result.

Dogs won't be too attached to their pick 12 given it'll be burned for Academy ugleharglebargle.  Despite this being a relatively small trade it may end up waiting until our other small trades happen so we can bundle 23 and a bunch of other draft points value burners to get that 12.

Everyone is a winner including Mitch.

I like Hannan as a depth player, but is the exact type of player we should move on if the deal is right.  Will find it hard to fit into our best 22 if we recruit another FWD.

I really think Mitch has the ability to make it as a player. Would hate to lose him

Yesterday I read someone here (or was it Facebook?) say that their "friend" told them the Bulldogs were keen on Hannan.

Today its a story.

The 'journalist' is probably just pulling their scoops from fan pages.

Dogs need points for there NGA player.

Offer them

23 + 39 (pruess) + 62 for 12 and Hannan.

Turn 23 plus 2 non best 22 players into 12 and gives dogs extra points. Its overs but dogs not going to deal 12 unless the points are in there favour.

What?! Those guys have more integrity than......

They can have him, way too inconsitant. Plays a good quarter then vanishes.

Likes it open, runs on to the ball, good skills and intuitive footy brain, team player, in a forward line that all disappears at the same time. Not a lot to not like with the right forward coach....

I  see him as talented, but for whatever reason drifts in and out of games. At 26, will he click and go to a new level? Or is this it? Tricky one for the football department and what would the Dogs offer us? Currently holding picks 13,38 and 49.

I suppose if it's a choice between Hannan and Hunt I'd favour Hunt but neither excite. Our HFF depth isn't that great.

I don't expect AVB to play that well in 2021. ANB who knows and even Melksham.

None is a a wow....must have in the 18 selection

And of course no Harley on the horizon
Have I missed anyone?

I believe it's also traditional to point out that Charlie Spargo is not very tall.

For me it s Hannan V Fritta. Both vying for same spot. For me I'd take Fritta.

Agree Doc. If we get another key forward in Fritta will become very dangerous and Hannan will struggle to  get a game unless we try him on the wing.

Forgot Spartacus... I like him and I think his kicking distance improved this year. Last year he was lucky to get 30 metres.

But like the others he's not a wow... he has to be in the side player

I would think a future third round pick would probably be unders.

Maybe try and offer Hannah and our third round pick for a future second round.

Dogs could use the points this year and its a compromised draft.

You would think next years draft will be deeper than normal with covid affecting this one.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
