You bloody beauty! Massive piece of the puzzle locked away. Turned down offers and has shown his loyalty.

I still think he will be the man to lift the cup for us one day.

It's weird... Would have been so disappointed if he left, but I feel like we need to make bit changes to our midfield for balance and for me he is the most one dimensional mid we have

if he isnt the heart and soul of our club then idk who is

viney jones jetta gawn theyre the only players in that conversation - nothing to do with talent but they are melbourne. commitment from him shows leadership it shows belief and bloody well hope we can achieve something big in his time.

Viney Limited just check his seasons stats

Jones Finished

Nev almost the same

Max excellent player. Mate heart and soul IS NOT going to deliver a flag, Classy players will

Viney signing reeks of yet another "Panic" by our Footy admin that saw us do the same thing to sign Goody for an eternity!

No wonder we are so bloody average

Viney 5 years FMD

Pity could have been a straight swap for Polec if he had  gone to North he still would have ties to Melbourne so to speak.

Very glad he has signed on and clearly wants to be a Demon for life.

Players like this don’t grow on trees.

Gawn, Viney, Petracca, Oliver, May, Salem and Langdon are absolutely core players and must keep along with our young talent in Rivers, Pickett, Jackson, Fritsch

I'm happy, but wary. Rotate the guy into the forward line for stoppages, at least, and get him to tackle the oppo ball carriers.

Not everything gets posted, some things I message to a few quality posters, too many trolls and psychos get fired up otherwise, as evidenced above.

Hi @Lord Nev, given you've been right about a few things just thought I'd ask this, it seems like you're in the know.

Has there been a big change in the amount of info that's being leaked since PJ was at the top? I remember before PJ we seemed to be a leaky ship but once he was brought in the information seemed to have dried up. Now that he has gone it seems like there's more info out there. Is this something you have noticed as well? Or am I totally wrong?

you have no idea lmao

so many non classy players win flags, like you gotta have those types every side does

but having 22 lachie whitfields (classiest player i can think of) isnt going to win a side

but your LRT's your prestigiacamos your liam pickens who just care about their clubs their teammates that sh it invaluable and when it comes to it. i'd rather have players who care as much as viney does over anything else. viney is that type because u know when your deep in the 4th, games on the line or even if your blown out of the water they're gonna have a [censored] dip because they ride every bump of that game just like us fans do and the result stings them. Yes jones and jetta are winding up, not best 22 but their contribution to our club cannot ever be questioned and their love and passion. you dont get that feeling yet from your next wave like you do from viney

Good call @Lord Nev. I heard 4 years, you heard 5. Your source was correct. Hats off to you and good result for the club as he is definitely a heart and soul player.

Now we need to balance the midfield better and play Jack to his strengths.

TBF I said he had signed when he might not have at that stage.

I don't know tbh. It's possible, but as far as I could guess it's just more that maybe Dees fans are more engaged now than when we were a bit more boring?

Viney is 26 and a match winner when he is purely on the inside. I don't like the idea of him being a pressure forward or just a run with player even though he would give it 110%.

Brayshaw and Harmes should feel like there spot is threatend. We need outside mids and neither Harmes or Brayshaw have strengths that are better than Oliver, Viney or Tracs strengths.

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best.
