Bayley Fritsch signs on for 2 more years

Good to see,    gets the ball so well,  wish he could kick the goals more consistently.

Oh for a Goal Kicking or forward coach who can fix things.  Do we have one ?

Good signing and 2 year deal fair length. Hard match up who will only get better with more preseasons and games.  Offers good positional flexibility which will become more important as list sizes reduce in coming years.

great news

now we need some Goals Fritta

He needs to toss out whatever Stafford tried to teach him and do his own thing moving forward.
Such a pure striker of the ball but this year his overall accuracy went down the toilet.

Great news to have him for another two.

Sometimes I think with all these line coaches trying to justify their existence confuse players and they reduce what made them good in the first place.

Very skillful and only 24 has plenty of upside .  Imo his best position is in the forward line and just needs to nail the gettable goals and he can become a 40 to 50 plus goal kicker.  That is a great signing.     Well done Fritta.

He just retired ......... Played some games with Port Adelaide.           J W, Does that ring a bell?

Very happy. Had he kicked straight this year we would be in the finals.

Great news. Hunt next please.

Goals win games. Why wouldn’t a previous sharpshooter who had a great kicking technique be a top priority over summer. The kicking technique of some of today’s footballers is staggering.

Good news.

I believe he signed in the wrong place twice before finally slotting his signature in the right spot.  ????

but the media release says he “plays with integrity “. (Wtf)

Let’s face it if had of kicked straight this year he would be talked about just behind Petracca, Oliver, May and Gawn. Bailey has some freakish qualities and has more shots for goal than a mid sized forward should have.
Doesn’t need a kicking coach, just needs to sort his head and he will be in All Australian contention

I would have re-signed him too, but a few saying 'he will only get better', well, he's only gotten worse as of late. Hope he can get his set shot routine working, work on his contest side/tackling and I hope we get a forward coach who can use him in a more productive manner. Why would a left footer, constantly lead to the wrong pocket? With added forward craft from a good forward coach, he'll hopefully have a greater chance of improving his conversion.

I watched an under 15's game a few years ago and one team had bloody line coaches.

Listened to the coach addresses at each break and walked away in disbelief how they expected 14 year old kids to understand the rubbish they we talking.

Just another example of how the AFL is infiltrating and in my opinion negatively influencing junior footy.

no wonder so many of the draftees cant kick!

It’s great that he has decided to continue playing footy with us while still filming episodes of Beavis and Butthead

Great to see we have kept our best forward.

The stats would indicate you’re correct.

Only Hawkins, Dixon, Josh Kennedy, Tom Lynch, Charlie Cameron, Papley and Ben King had more scoring shots on goal than Fritsch.

He kicked 37.28 in his first 2 seasons so you’d expect his accuracy to improve next year.

Arguably a more important signing than Viney given his age profile, upside, dearth of forward options and the potential  headaches he poses for the opposition.

This is the most concerning observation of all.

Good on you Dee's another quality kid that will be part of our rise up the ladder in 2021 and thanks for the vote of confidence Bayley.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
