Witches Hat 494 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Delisted. Wants to play on but only if he can be guaranteed a regular game. He turns 35 in November. Cue Darryl Kerrigan. 3 Quote
DeeSpencer 26,667 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I’ve seen worse ideas, but with Hibberd probably only having 1 year left and a decision to be made on Nev I don’t think were in the market for a 35 year old. I actually think he’d make sense for North. 4 Quote
Adam The God 30,706 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 It's a pass from me. In terms of older heads, I'd prefer we looked at Gunston and even Breust before Shaw. 2 Quote

BW511 2,730 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I’d spew if he played for a team I followed. Is going backwards at a rate of knots 3 Quote

Maldonboy38 6,435 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 A very, very, very good footballer whose best is quickly falling behind him. His last half of this season has been poor so absolutely NO for me. 2 Quote
Mazer Rackham 14,971 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 MFC backline coach Heath Shaw 1 Quote
titan_uranus 25,249 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 If this is the end for him, it's a sad finish to what's been a fine career. If it's not the end for him, I hope he continues somewhere other than Melbourne. His form this year was not good and he is 35. Quote
The Jackson FIX 3,499 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Don’t agree with those who claim he has fallen/is falling off a perch. His consistency has been amazing. Their 2nd or 3rd best defender on form in the back half of the year. I wouldn’t get him because it risks upsetting a building dynamic in our back line but form isn’t the reason I wouldn’t recruit him for a year. 1 Quote
Half forward flank 1,022 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I thought we should have gone for him when he left the Pies, not now. Quote

layzie 34,528 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Well we knew this was coming, cue the guy saying he'll provide good disposal out of the back half and a cool experienced head. No thanks. Quote

Shawly not! While we're indulging in thought experiments, how about: scion of Collingwood royalty, Heath Shaw, coaches MFC to their first flag in decades, with scion of Collingwood royalty, Sam Weideman, kicking his 9th in the last minute to seal the come-from-behind victory. The premiership cup is handed over by new AFL CEO Eddie McGuire. 1 Quote
Robot Devil 1,895 Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Surely we’ve done this dance often enough in past years that we can be a little more choosy in the washed up hacks that we pension into our club. 1 Quote
