I would get him. He can play. Question marks ? Yes but he is a super player.

I think super is a very big stretch.  The kid has some talent but definitely has an attitude problem

He's had an interview with the club, fair to say it did not go well and he won't be a Demon anytime soon.

Don't know exact details, but heard Mahoney thought it was one of the worst interviews he's had, oh and Stephenson was late to the meeting as well.

Serious question, what's wrong with Buckley and Collingwood?

They broke up a premiership team because of a so called bad attitude and are now being sued by one of those players.

They don't seem to be able to deal with any player who may have an issue, easier to trade them out.

How would they have been with Dustin Martin?

Would he be the player he is now if he had been drafted at Collingwood?

Time to have a look in the mirror I would think.

The bloke bet on a game he was playing in...

Honestly, if that didn't confirm he is a complete dead-s£it then I don't know what would? ?

Not that fantasy footy should be any guide, but I had him in my Ultimate Footy side this season and so played pretty close attention.

Early on when he was operating in an around the 50, he wasn't too bad, though he definitely did go missing in second half of most games. His best attributes are his speed and marking and when he was "on" he looked good and managed to jag a couple of goals per game.

At around mid season though Buckley decided they wanted to play him more in the middle. He barely went near the 50 after that (even during the period DeGoey was out and they were struggling to kick more than 6 goals/game) and he played a bit like a fish out of water. The only game of note in 2nd half of year was v Carlton where he probably could have kicked a bag, but was inaccurate.

Anyway, he looks to me like another Harmes at half back type player, that is not being played in his best position or to his strengths.

There's whispers around that his attitude is a problem... seems to fit with Lord Nev's mail that we did our due diligence and passed.

I'd much prefer we focus on tying Oliver and Petracca to long term deals than potentially sacrifice one of them for De Goey.

Agree completely mate, Sign Brown, get someone in who can play wing and then shift focus to retaining the young core we've built.

Averaged 9 disposals and 1.8 tackles this year.

It'll be about time they gave us someone decent, everyone they've Offloaded to us has been a gammy.

Looks like Jaidyn Stephenson is about as popular as me on here.

Comes out with a bang early, looks like setting the world of fire and then..... just burns the place down by not delivering. Similarities abound ?

Seriously I hope all clubs say to Collingwood no thanks to any of their players this offseason. Do not help them out of the bind in any way, let them wallow in their own salary cap smelly stew.

Tom Phillips to the Dees being the exception. Otherwise I agree with your sentiments.

Not completely true @Dr evil,  there are those among us who see you as 'a colourful trade-period identity'

Do you know if Higgins has talked to the club yet?

If this sums up the flatulent end of Jack's career it mercifully should of be consigned to finale in the Rockies maze where it should remain frozen. REDRUM

Lol you guys would prefer a well educated, spotless behaviour private school boy like Watts over someone with a checkered history with far more talent.

What would Stephenson be worth before this season? a pick in the top 5? he has had an elite season under his belt. And woul love to have him. He has elite traits and shown that he can produce over a full season.

Not sure if it's happened yet, but they plan to apparently.

No, I think most would rather someone who is professional, dedicated and hard working. Stephenson is none of those things.

"Elite traits"? Silly call for a player who is known to have nowhere near the required traits of a successful AFL player.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
