we aren't going to fire a shot in finals even if we do make it

We are miles off late 2018.

In cricketing terms - 'he bats at 10 and doesn't bowl.' He is good at nothing!

I know the type. Good sledger and tells good jokes on the sidelines while we are in bat. To be fair, those players are worth their weight in gold in cricket.

Well at half time.

What could go wrong???

1.3 to1.9

Am i in some parallel universe.

Maybe I should go to SBS and the tour they month

Can someone tell me why we are relegated to playing in Cairns while other teams play in the comfort of the Gabba? Is there something to prove?

needley would call that half a great effort

Why are we trying to possess and finesse so often around stoppage YEats?

Tap/punch/kick the ball forward or in any direction where you can see space and no opp....and run onto it.  Its wet weather footy.

Whent 1st touch is a fumble

Then 2nd touch is under pressure

Rubbish half of football. Freo controlling this game. Goodwin outcoached again.

This club is going nowhere with the current playing group and coaches. Even if we miraculously make finals, we’re not doing any damage.

What a [censored] waste of time.

#12 Bedford playing a match reminiscent of Tom Gillies.

he seems slightly deranged.

We lack the want to spread, the ability to stick a tackle or the ability for players to hold their position and trust their team mates. Playing like we are we trying to save it rather than win it?

Reckon Tomlinson has been playing pretty well on Hogan too.

Do we? I’d rather some one who actually wins the football, can use it and doesn’t clout someone already over the boundary line that gives them a free.

Dumb and unnecessary

Yea we need a sarcasm emoji G. I said after the Pies game I thought he  was terrible and as lots frothed about his toughness.

only 2 going well Tomlinson and langdon has been fantastic

49 marks to 14

31 tackles to 19

103 incontested possessions to 44

All freos way

Please tell me that Goodwin can coach one more time?

This is worse the Collingwood in 2017 when we had to make finals

We don't want it. We're dumb. We can't hit a target

Bye bye Goodwin

That Preuss rag foll tackle was a carbon copy of Frosty's vs WCE. Even to the point where he kicked it out on the full!

Great.

Still doesn't change the fact he's been playing well on Hogan.

Our disposal is completely unacceptable.  Looks like we try to go boundary throw in to boundary throw in.  They move it freely, we are fumbly and second rate.  Lucky to be so close.  Second half is make or break, boys!

I hate the way we play under Goodwin. He must go.

Because we are a side show and everyone other than Melbourne supporters sees it

Also, I love this four of Lyon, Healy, Brown and Roo talking about the game.  They are really having a go, especially Garry.

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
