Totally agree. We are not deserving of a finals spot. Let the Dogs have 8th spot, at least they play an attractive brand of footy

We look knackered.

Our tackling is so so so very weak. Shame on these blokes. Shame on them.

Fyfe knows it and has taken on every tackle tonight and walked through them.

Clubs just know how weak we are.

Please don't come back to Victoria your not needed. We all need a break from the misery.

Come back to Victoria and be locked down in misery like the rest of us. Instead they’re getting paid ridiculous amounts to enjoy the sunshine and freedom in QLD. Lucky bastards.

I didn’t think it could get worse than the Sydney game. How wrong I was...

Just a group of men who can't wait for the season to be over so they can be released from the hub to go home.

I'm glad that Melbourne have a gin sponsor, but I don't think it's enough. I need Melbourne branded hard drugs to get me through this crap.

So do I, but I.have herd it all before.

Yep, but to do nothing

Sponsors and Members need hope

We cannot have another Rookie Coach.

Anb as usual missing half the game. Should never have been selected. Not alone.

Im afraid we are all know coming to realise that we only have a handful of quality players. The others are mostly fillers.

Time for a complete (another) rebuild.

I know hes only young but if Pickett cant take those chances when they come hes not going offer much. Missed 2 early against the Dogs as well and it jist kills us.

We have dumb footballers. That’s the truth.

One quarter left. Even if we win, Dees are not the quality of a Top 8 team.

The last one was just as much Lever, a free run as third man up and missed the ball.

I have been patient but this is a joke. What is the coach telling them to do. This is the same as the Sydney game. Nothing has been 'learned'. Time for the torch. I can't live like this anymore. My enjoyment of football has been sucked away. This year has taken everything away.

Kozzie had a possession - a handball that travelled full distance to teammate. Evidence of good coaching.

yeh lets get a new coach that will fix everything, like it hasnt every other time we have a team of players not prepared to put in, lack skills, or lack the will to chase.  Rivers when he got pushed off the ball as he was running forward, stood around while the freo players swooped in and picked up the ball. that is the type of players we have.  those guys on the field are to blame for tonights performance not to thcoach

I’m with you Dazzle, they are absolutely unwatchable. Why the (censored) do we support them?

Not sure Jules. But I'm done.

Same [censored] different year.

Maybe if we let them stroll uncontested from one end to the other one more time it might result in something good for us...worth trying i guess because it's an excellent tactic.

Goodwin has trashed Paul Roos' legacy at the Dees

Forget Roos, he was in it for the cash

Yep. All hype no delivery

Smith 2 disposals, 0 marks, 1 tackle.

Hibberd 4 disposals, 0 marks, 0 tackles.

Bedford 4 disposals, 1 tackle.

PIckett 5 disposals, 1 tackle.

Hunt 6 disposals, 0 tackles.

But not all of us, a lot fewer will be signing up and a lot less will be sponsors

someone must surely be getting the sack at Jaguar for jumping in board after 2018.

Neal Bullen lol

Something seriously stinks with this club. Goodwin simply must go, if he doesn’t then I propose an EGM to overthrow the board for being so clueless in correcting their humongous mistake of offering such a stupid extension.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.
