yes we can be frustrating but I have read Sparrow is limited and no good, for a kid who has played a handful of games, he has energy. His time may come.

Harmes. A better game

Apart from that nonchalant and classy goal Benell just couldn't get into the game.

I reckon we have to take the risk and play him regularly to let him work into form

I thought so too. He was in our top 4 players in the first half when everything wasn’t looking rosy.

Agree re Bennell. For me, this year is all about getting up to speed again.

we basically played one short.  unless he commits to put his body on the line, I'm not sold on playing him

Agreed DubDee, it's been a great story so far but now it's time for Harley to start get involved a bit more. His aversion to laying a tackle is worrying. The honeymoon is nearly over.

And Harmes was our chief intercepter. Not bad for 'a guy playing out of position'

         Oliver    Is a WINNER!

        GUS       Has the goods

        Petrac   The real deal

        L J          Is our future

       Weid       Starting to give

      May         Is The Rock!

     Viney        The Mighty BULL

      Gawn       The Great Leader

      Sparrow   On his Way

      The Rest   Did their job.

If you're waiting for Bennel to start laying tackles you might want to adjust your expectations. Even at his best he laid an average of one tackle a half. Which is what he did tonight.

He def needs to get more touches. Could have thrown him into the cente or a wing in that last quarter. He needs to build his fitness, pace and ball hunting instinct. We dont need another hard nut tackler/body on line. That's not his strengths.

Brayshaw.... won the game

(His last quarter performance was why he is in the team... it was a little more than putting in an appearance)

Tomlinson.... why draft him

Oliver   im a gun

Brayshaw   im back baby

May  yeah I'm unbeatable

Gawn    follow me lads

Lever    fook u Adelaide

Viney    me foots better

Fritta    kick to me

Weid    im getting good

Langdon   let me run

Tracc     I just cruise

Jako    I love footy

Melk    im just starting

Salem   I have skill

Sparrow   yes I can

Jones    that's the [censored]

Bennell   just warming up

Hibbo  need help boys

Tom    easy does it

Harmes   good footballer me

Anb    perfect tackle that

Avb   bloody hard head

Lockhart   intercept , crumb, kick

Did we lose by 10 goals, Weidman, is kick 2 goals a game, Hogan's career average, doing everything you want a Ford to do crash packs and kick the goals when I had the opportunities.

Post 17 above gives a good assessment Dub

lets play him more so we can see his class

He looks... painfully slow too.

If he can't go full speed, why are we playing him?  He's clearly hampered by his body or his mind right now.

Fritsch - stop leading 2 boundryline
More than 3 words but it's driving me nuts

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve said it a thousand times. He leads too wide and it’s either spoilt or goes out of bounds. He should use the corridor more.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
