Fisher needs to be thrown out as an umpire. What a joke of an umpire. They say those who can’t do teach. Well this [censored] can’t play or umpire.

Yeah that's a fair assessment for this term.

However, our back line has kept us in it and we can absolutely get better from here.

Yeah the backs are doing a decent job. Aside from the odd free kick given away they've been solid.

Pretty tough term for us.  I don't think we played badly, just that the Lions were on fire through the middle of the ground.  I don't think they could have played better in the conditions.

However, our back line has kept us in the game, and I really don't think we're out of it by any stretch.  We are a couple of goals down and I think we can get better from here.  Plenty can lift and are capable of lifting.

Umps are absolutely murdering us though, which is hard to stomach, and Brisbane seemed to be reveling in it which is annoying.

That zorko clap is so infuriating, hopefully may flattens that [censored].

Umpiring pretty soft gifting a few goals but we got flogged that QTR lucky to still be in it.

Gawn gets kneed in the back of the head by a show off going for mark of the year but gets nothing. Then Brisbane gets too high for what. They didn't even want to show it. Biased bull#%@#

The umpiring is undoubtedly one of the reasons we're behind - they're holding us at stoppages, they're dropping it out of tackles, and they're getting rewarded for HTB when we aren't.

The crowd is heavily in their favour which doesn't help on that front (some sort of "home" game this is, thanks AFL).

But this is really only a small part of it. Our mids are way off the pace compared to last week. We're losing CPs and clearances despite Max being on top in the hit outs.

We're reverting to some old habits with the ball, too. Kicks are missing targets, and under their midfield's pressure we're starting to play hot potato with the ball.

Having said all that, we've weathered a big Brisbane storm in that quarter and we're only 14 points behind. It's not an insurmountable deficit if we can lift around the stoppages.

Worst umpiring I've seen all year.

Why the [censored] did Robinson get a free kick?

Umpire is having a big game.Shut up and [censored] off you [censored] of man.

If our midfield doesn’t pull the finger out we will get smashed. Lucky they missed so many this quarter or it would be game over.
Langdon has had what, one touch? Jones is giving us nothing sadly. Time to make some changes.

Umps are killing us

I agree, I’m not a umpire basher but we are getting killed by them.
Max gets knocked down in the marking contest and then he doesn’t get the chance to nominate for the ruck.  Some common sense wouldn’t go astray.
We are still in the game just need to get 1st hands on the ball

That was a valid marking attempt. Rayner clearly got hands to the ball.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
