I reckon we deserved that. And 17 points feels about right. One down on the bench for 2.5 quarters but never felt like we ran out of gas.

Clearly tried harder with shorter kicks and fewer play on instances. It's not all there yet unfortunately, with still far too many dumb turnovers. A step in the right direction but we have many more steps to take.

Thought Lever was super impressive, really important return to some form. Not sure if Oscar is the reason for that but Oscar's performance was strong too.

Weideman did what we wanted - needs confidence and hopefully he got some today.

Hannan and vandenBerg were really important and Bennell looked better than he did vs Carlton.

I thought we’re were great. A tough opponent. Unlike other games, they didn’t outman us all day. We could kick unanswered goals. Didn’t just give up. So, happy.

Lol we’re at my brothers. I don’t want stay the night, but he’s got this big bottle of Jack he promised we’d open if we won ?

Nice to see some changes made this week, definitely thought the structure was much better!

We really struggled with decision making, errors and the pressure but I think we'll get a lot of confidence out of the win.

Desperately hope that TMac is OK, otherwise Brown has to come in. This game clearly showed that multiple talls in the forward and backline are needed

Wow that was stressful, but woooo hoo!! Signs of life

Now I am not a fan of OMac but credit where it’s due, he played well tonight.

Hopefully it continues.

All is forgiven, I love youse guys ❤️❤️❤️

Seriously though, Weid, though I thought he was average, needs to play every game for the rest of the year. He only needs to take two marks inside 50 per game and will more often than not kick both. The only thing that will teach him to be the player he can be will be time in the ones

Hopefully they learn from this.  Showing some composure under pressure.  With 5 mins to go it looked like they were crumbling.  Petracca’s goal when we needed it will lift the confidence of everyone

Hannan and Viney were superb today. Vanders excellent in the last quarter.

There is no doubt we are a lot better set up with Oscar down back and it even allowed us to throw May forward when he was stinking it up.

Extremely disappointing to see our ball use was again horrific. Petracca and May nowhere near good enough.

Weideman did ok. He needs a bit more time. Also a real shame we lost TMac because it looked good to have two talls in the first quarter.

Our wastefulness with the ball is so frustrating and against a better more mature side we would have lost.
It was nice to have less chaos ball and playing on at all costs. Our decision making was better but our execution is still just rubbish at times.

Weid, Oscar and Harley justified their inclusion. I can't say that about Nev. More than once he flew for the ball against one or two team mates. I know we need some continuity in selection but I'd be tempted to drop Nev before Lockhart.

Was good to finally see the team take a bit of time and look for an option rather than just kicking or hand balling in hope.

Now it needs to continue rather than a one off.

really annoyed at the string of soft free kicks and downfield frees given to the suns.  Soft as butter, yet nothing was done when weed was continually shoved forward in almost every contest.  It felt like the umps were trying to keep the Suns in it.

I enjoyed that. Not going to put an asterisk on it like others, I just enjoyed it. Tough contested game that despite the scoreline, I never felt like we were going to lose.

GO THE MIGHTY DEES! Great win without T.Mac. Gawn and Viney were fantastic. Petracca even though his kicking was terrible Oliver, Langdon and Hannan were also good. Good to see Weid hit the scoreboard. BRING ON THE HAWKS!

Hannan and AVB big second half. Watching Hannan from 2018 , doesn't always get a lot of it, but gee he has some important moments.  Vanders,  some players struggle to make a tackle, does he ever miss one.

Where did such luck come from ????

We were due after it seemed as though they'd been kissed on the [censored] by a fairy for their first 7 goals.

Good win in the end. Bennell has smarts and Pickett will be good. O Mc takes the pressure off Lever and May. We need more composure with the ball. VB goes at the ball really hard. Some very silly kicks and handballs at times. Maybe some confidence from the win will allow them to be more relaxed on disposal?

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
