Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

COVID-19 affects different people in different ways. Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization.

Most common symptoms:
fever
dry cough
tiredness
Less common symptoms:
aches and pains
sore throat
diarrhoea
conjunctivitis
headache
loss of taste or smell
a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes

Serious symptoms:

difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
chest pain or pressure
loss of speech or movement

===========================================================
Gastroenteritis, on the other hand, attacks your intestines, causing signs and symptoms, such as:
  • Watery, usually nonbloody diarrhea — bloody diarrhea usually means you have a different, more severe infection.
  • Abdominal cramps and pain.
  • Nausea, vomiting or both.
  • Occasional muscle aches or headache.
  • Low-grade fever.

I’m massively disappointed in Kozzie for breaking the COVID rules, given the length of tie between matches you’d think players would be extra careful.

I’m hoping that Bedford is the one the bring in for him but I could see ANB being preferred with  some more runs on the board. Both had pretty poor games vs WC.

Can’t see it happening but maybe as another option AvB, sounded like he and Bennell were at similar stages but it’d be a risk to have two debutants and two players who’ve barely played footy in the last 18-24 months.

I was thinking why not play Vanders. He's in our best 22 and can play forward or midfield.

Will we have special dispensation to bring someone in that’s outside the listed 26?

Say O Mac who could release Smith as a forward or Lockhart who could potentially play as a small forward?

If you can bother reading the thread you might find an answer

He’d had a good pre-season before the broken foot as well. Personally I’d be happy but would we be taking too big a risk with two newbs and two returning from long term injuries?

i hope Max tore strips off the pair of little ***** for breaking the rules. now we have to endure more of ANB again aaaarrrggghhh!

I hope not. Kossie is just a kid. He will learn from it and is probably devastated to not only miss the game but also Nev’s 150! Don’t like the ANB in, would have preferred Bedford or Lockhart. I thought Locky played well in round 1 and Bedford showed glimpses especially in the last quarter as he came to grips with the tempo.

Disappointed to see ANB in the side would prefer Bedford. I can see Hunt and ANB making way for Kossie and Vanders next week.

I hope Goody takes ANB aside and makes it clear to him that this is a lucky occurrence, he should not be in the team based on the WC game he's been given this lucky shot to prove himself. I'd be telling him there are a bunch of players chomping at the bit to get out there, so make it hard on the selection committee to not pick him.

Who plays on the tall Blue forwards? Casboult, McKay and McGovern.  May and ... ???
Lever is best as a 3rd defender to intercept and not in a key post. Joel Smith also undersized imo

Lever is 195cm and Smith plays about 2m can jump over tall buildings if he doesn’t get hurt!

Luke Jackson to play as a defender tomorrow.

Sauce - Gerard Healy who know Jones well.

My question is why not just play O Mac on one of Casboult, McKay or McGovern?

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt

THE MEANING OF FOOTY by Whispering Jack

Throughout history various philosophers have grappled with the meaning of life. Aristotle, Aquinas, Kant, Nietzsche, Schopenhauer and a multitude of authors of diverse religious texts all tried. As society became more complex, the question became attached to specific endeavours in life even including sporting pursuits where such questions arose among our game’s commentariat as, “what is the meaning of football”? Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin must be tired of dealing with such a dilemma but,

LEADERS OF THE PACK by The Oracle

I was asked to write a preview of this week’s Round 8 match between Melbourne and Geelong. The two clubs have a history that goes right back to the time when the game was starting to become an organised sport but it’s the present that makes the task of previewing this contest so interesting. Both clubs recently reached the pinnacle of the competition winning premiership flags in 2021 and 2022 respectively, but before the start of this season, many good judges felt their time had passed - n
