ADMIN EDIT: This has been debunked.

Please take care when posting rumors.

Apparently the young fella damaged his shoulder and has already had it operated on. 20 week rehab to follow.

Fingers crossed I’m getting a wind up...

He had both shoulders operated on in 2018, if he required further they would of had it done weeks ago. unless of course he has injured one again, but I am tipping jjj has been hoodwinked.

When, how, true? B&F trophy too heavy?

Was the surgery before the BnF? If it were, he would have his arm in a sling.

His arm wasn't in a sling at the BnF.  Seems to be a fair bit of doubt as to whether this is true.

20 weeks? Find that a bit hard to believe, unless he's had a car accident or something. They're not even training yet.

I suspect this has as much veracity as the old story about the cannibal who got home from the pub so late for tea that his missus gave him the cold shoulder.

Oliver has a history of shoulder surgery.  September 25, 2018:

Oliver 2018 shoulder surgery

"Clayton injured both his shoulders during the year and will require surgery... Oliver will not begin contact training until January at the earliest.   "He was unable to complete many contact drills at training in the last two months, so to perform the way that he did in that period is remarkable."

That was 12 months ago.  Last year he had the surgery after the bnf.  Could be the same this year.

Absolutely amazing that he played so well in 2018 with those injuries

And his performance in 2019 equally as amazing if the shoulders have again been an issue.

It is conceivable that he needed work again.   But would like to hear more than a rumour.

Two days before the BnF he also won the longest kick competition.

If he has had surgery, it must be due to injuring the shoulder after the kicking comp and BnF. I smell a BS rumour though.

Hopefully your post sums up this topic - a bad joke.

I believe last off-season he had two shoulder reconstructions.  However, they needed to be done separately, which is why his recovery took the whole preseason.

There's every chance that he went in for a clean-up.  Very much doubt that he's had another reco without the club saying something; there's no way you can keep that secret.

Rumours of severe injuries are the worst type to even post online.

Why bother?

The club wouldn't have let him trounce around Europe with Trac and Salo if there was even a hint of a serious shoulder injury.

I'm going to lock this thread for the time being. No need to spread a rumour with nothing to back it up. I've PMed the OP for more information. At the very least I want to confirm that this doesn't just come from a friend of a friend of a friend.

If this was a first time poster and not a long time poster then they would be immediately banned.

I'll reopen this thread if more information comes to light.

Unless this is a brand new injury (ie: last week) I can't believe this wouldn't have been acted upon before he went on vacation.

Methinks the OP has been hoodwinked. A reminder to all to not post rumours especially if you can't verify the credibility of a source.

Screenshot from Clayton Oliver’s Instagram Story.  Video doesn’t show Clayton as he’s taking the video. Last shot of the scorecard most likely proves he didn’t just have surgery.  Rumour Debunked.

Was it mini golf, by chance?

Do dwarves call mini golf just golf? Just something I’ve always wondered.

This rumour smelt suspicious from the beginning, good investigationing DL.

Someone watched joker recently...

How'd you find it ET?

A young man with a few hours to spare one afternoon figures that if he hurries and plays very fast, he can get in nine holes before he has to head home. As he is about to tee off, an old gentleman shuffles onto the tee and asks if he can join him. Although worried this will slow him up, the younger man says, “Of course.”

To his surprise, the old man plays quickly. He doesn’t hit the ball very far, but it goes straight. Furthermore, the old man moves along without wasting any time.

When they reach the 9th fairway, the young man is facing a tough shot. A large pine tree sits in front of his ball, directly between it and the green.

After several minutes pondering how to hit the shot, the old man says, “You know, when I was your age, I’d hit the ball right over that tree.”

With the challenge before him, the young man swings hard, hits the ball, watches it fly into the branches, rattle around, and land with a thud a foot from where it had started.

“Of course,” says the old man, “when I was your age, that tree was only three feet tall.”

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
