It's almost time for a new recruit from Adelaide FC.

What say we look at Taylor Walker for a few years?

I’d rather Tony Modra then that pretender.

Imagine that reunion with Lever down at Gosch's Paddock.

  • Demonland changed the title to The Tex Walker Thread

Quite possibly the most over hyped and over rated player to have ever played the game

The 'off' season has officially started

He kicked 43 goals this year including 5 in round 23. What did our leading goal kicker end up with this year?

Sad thing is he'd still be a better option than Weideman, T Smith, Petty, O Mac and whoever else has graced our atrocious forward line this year.

I love it how we're quick to bag blokes like Walker even though we have the worst forward line in the AFL.

Tex still has the skills but his athleticism is shot. We're all hoping Tommy Mc gets his athleticism back and then confidence in his skills, we don't need to add a second older slower player next to him.

If there is a Crows key forward to go after then I can reluctantly see the benefit of having Jenkins for a year or two so there's some genuine competition and depth.

I am most happy to say in the same breath that Walker is a pretender, and our forward line is dismal.

He lost it when he lost his mullet. Grow it back and i’d consider.

His nickname could be Sampson

SANFL player. No thanks.

An absolute fair enough comment.

Walker actually doesn't have these to give! If he wasn't a media-star in his own teacup, he'd have been passed over a few years ago.

I'd rather play Oscar McDonald forward...jeez how desperate are we???

A saving grace for OMac possibly, but it would have to be trialled for half the season at Casey first. It may work - provided he doesn't aim to ignite the forward line with his blistering leads and rugged forward defensive pressure.

^ Sob! ^ If only TMac would lead from full forward. A propping forward is lucky, not determined.
