Kamdyn McIntosh

Featured Replies

25 year old winger from Richmond.

SEN this morning saying he's not getting much game time this year and suggesting a falling out with Hardwick.

Thoughts?

McIntosh stats

Throw sh*t at the wall until it sticks.

Realistically he can cover decent ground and can hit the scoreboard too, so he’s not the worst option. Just wouldn’t give up much for him. Token 4th round would be fine for depth.

Ok, if that's what turns you on....

Yep, pretty much around the mark there LT.

He is one player suggested in here that I wouldn't mind getting IF he was actually available.

Is he better than what we have in Stretch, ANB, Kennedy Harris, Spargo and the others that sit on the fringe?

With all players we bring up the first question needs to be will they make our best 22 and then will they make us a better team.

The next question is what will it cost us and is that something we are willing to part with.

No more depth players, we want players that will be in our best 22 or banging on the door to be in our best 22.

The difference between McIntosh and Stretch, Kennedy Harris, Spargo etc is that he is actually big enough to compete and win one-on-one contests, which is vital on the wing.

Thats the key, could wina one on one on the wing then run. The small guys can sometimes half the contest but then its either a stoppage or a turnover which halts all momentum.

I put his stats in above post so you could all see them.

He always looks ok when he plays, but doesn't have high disposals or goals or goal assists.

Height: 191cm Weight: 91kg Position: Midfield.

He has pace and good disposal.

Is he better than most of our players in his position, yes he is.

He is also a Premiership player, from a good club and if we got him for a reasonable deal I would go for it.

SEN Breakfast’s Sam Edmund has suggested that the 25-year-old may be having second thoughts about remaining with the Tigers.

“Kamdyn McIntosh is interesting, he re-signed two months ago at Richmond on a two-year deal, I think he might be gettable though,” he told SEN Breakfast.

“He’s out of the side, his last game was Round 17, he’s out of favour suddenly. If he doesn’t play finals, watch this space.

“If a club came for McIntosh, his head might be turned.”

Richmond defender "might be gettable"

Has consistently gone around 70% disposal efficiency, but I’ve seen him make some Frost level mistakes with ball in hand so not convinced. If we manage to get in Langdon im not sure we need another winger,  otherwise I’d be looking at Karl Amon.

I’m hoping we get KK up and going and stick him out on a wing, was an elite ball user back in 2015 where he was runner up in the suns bnf.

I believe @Ethan Tremblay knows something of such peccadillos  Moonie.

It’s the easiest way to get it onto my coat hanger, just scrape it off the wall.

If the price is right then it’s a yes from me, he’s a better option than the players we have that have already been named in this thread. Unless I’m mistaken, Richmond seem pretty reasonable to deal with. Perhaps a fourth round pick or our third for McIntosh and a fourth.

I know he's no world beater, but I've actually always rated him. Super strong and just always seems to win those crucial 1-on-1 contests on a wing. He is clearly an upgrade in depth from the likes of Stretch, and a better option than Amon imo.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us get Langdon, and then go after 1 of Cutler, McIntosh or Amon on the cheap.

In answer to question is he better than Stretch, ANB, JKH Spargo ...YES HE IS!!

Tough, strong , Quick, good skills, Touch of Mongrel

Whats not to like??

i think he's the player that was almost BOG in their grand final. Looks older than he is. A name like Kamdyn demands a man bun.

Good to see we are aiming high this trade period D11!

FMD, if he is the quality we are after, we may as well shut up shop.

TBH I would trade the lot of them if we got McIntosh. It would free up cap space and then hope KK comes good and that a few of our youngsters in Swallow, Jordon, Bedford and Nietschke develop into AFL standard. Getting Langdon and maybe Amon make the others above superfluous to our needs.

He’s a better alternative though to other players who are currently getting a game. I do hope we’re concentrating more on getting an ‘A’ grader and players like McIntosh are just being looked at as upgrades on JKH, Stretch and ANB etc.

I agree.

Lets hope it’s not the case
