CHANGES: Rd 21 v Collingwood

Preuss a shocker around the ground but did win some hit outs in the ruck. There’s no one left to back Max up if they omit Preuss. Won’t even attempt a guess on Tim Smith’s availability.

Lever in some doubt perhaps with May (if we aren’t playing it safe with him) coming in. Hore the standout for Casey from all reports.

One change I’d like to see is turnovers out.

Slim pickings at Casey, thoughts?

Looks like May will definitely be back in, as should Hore be

I imagine outs will come down to Lever’s ankle and whatever mystery injury of the week there is

I really don’t understand playing the likes of JKH - he pretty clearly isn’t going to be with us next year - but it seems the cupboard is empty

IN: May, Hore

OUT: Lever, JKH

From here, it really doesn’t matter.  The cupboard is indeed bare.

may back in.

Preuss was an absolute liability, but pies have Grundy and Cox , so who supports Max if concrete mitts gets dropped to Casey?  Maybe give Petty a couple of goes to spell max.

hore perhaps in, and maybe move Frosty to the wing?

otherwise, whoever plays, just stop with the stupid mistakes, the terrible skills and the complete lack of understanding of how to play the game.

exit interviews start in 3 weeks....

out: don’t care

let’s beat Collingwood then rest everyone who has event a hint of a niggle for the rest of the season

OMac must be dropped for this game - too unable to contest the ball against an opponent, shirks the issues, reliant of chasing whilst getting further and further behind the spoiling zone, creates significant gaps in the backline arriving to the contest after the ball has been marked or delivered by hand and/or foot.

I know Preuss had a shocker but he should play for two reasons. He is our backup ruck if Max goes down and needs to get to understand the game at AFL level. Secondarly we owe it to Max to give him some support for the remaining three dead rubbers for his enormous 2019 performance.

Agree.... He was awful but we've got nothing to lose by playing him for the final few games,  it's perfect opportunity to get games into him and a chop out for Max.

Hore in for Lever (playing sore)

May in for Hunt.

Oscar in same boat as Pruess.... Was god awful but we need to play him,  maybe throw him n May forward rotating.

Result is irrelevant, time to experiment for 2020.

Oscar stays simply for more match time at AFL level - then we can reassess post-season, probably likewise for JKH.

Preuss to stay in purely so Max isn't carrying the full burden - he can only improve surely...

Don't really care who comes in - I've lost faith in our injury timeframes now

Nah

He goes out next week when May comes in. Just watched the reply and... no I wont comment any further on this.

Hore comes in for Lever if he doesn't get up.

Didn’t Oscar play his school footy as a forward? Why not throw him down there and May back if he’s back in. May as well coz his confidence is shot as a defender at the moment.

Goody said in his presser that he’s throwing some players around to see what flexibility they may have to offer.

Yeah look if that's the choice then of course May comes in. Issue for me is more around the pliable nature of our injury return dates and whether May will actually be available for selection

In. Hore May

out. Jwagner Omcd (delist)

in. 4qtr footy

out. Shocking simple turnovers

J Wags was dropped last weeks

Corey was going well for a bit, but his second half was awful

I think we play the likes of Dunkley, Baker, JKH, Petty (and even Preuss and perhaps Omcd) for all remaining games. Need to get them game time at the right level

As bad a Preuss was last night, if he clunks a few of those grabs, and sticks a few tackles, he could have a big impact next year and he's only going to get better for the experience

Season's over, play the kids

Play May forward.

May, Petty and Fritta would be an interesting experiment.

As i recall, he also played forward in his early days at Casey. Wasn't a spectacular success and you don't want to pin any hopes on him to impact a game, but he didn't look all at sea there.

This hit the nail on the head for our entire season.

Its an indictment on the coaches and players.

ITS PATHETIC.

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
