Get the context he said he loved Melbourne and his comment were not meant to be disrespectful. The 10 years Dunny spent at the Dees coincided when we were simply deplorable. AFL players give a hell of a lot so you can understand why he doesn’t rate his time at the Dees as highly as the Pies. My only knock on Dunn was his over the top celebrations when the Pies knocked the Dees out of the finals race in 2017. Other than that good luck Dunny and hope you get to play more AFL

Best wishes, Dunny. You did some great things, very often, for the MFC and tried your heart out to improve the team in those days.

"That's no disrespect to Melbourne" are just words.

His OTT celebrations when they knocked us out of the finals in 2017 were full of disdain; its not as if they made it into the 8 instead of us.  Actions speak louder than words!

I was never a big fan of Dunn anyway, selfish player in my book.  We have been better off without him.

Pity it took you 8 years to mature out of being a jumper punching inconsistent player who was dropped many times even when we were deplorable.

I wish you did as well, Lyndell.

I'm sure pick 15 in 2004 could have been put to much better use.

I wish we had ' ve picked Mark LeCras. Can't 4 give Dunn 4 his over the top celebration either & now 2 say he wished he had of gone there instead - no need 2 say it very disrespectful. Him & Foulau need 2 shut up.

Dunn spent years at one of the biggest basket case clubs of all time.  Who could blame him ?

Although, he's also missing the fact that Collingwood under Buckley wasn't overly pleasant in his first few years, which is why Beams, Shaw and a host of others wanted out.

He went to Collingwood at arguably the perfect time.

The MFC of today and moving forward will be very different to the MFC of 5-10 years ago.

3 years later and we are still wishing him good luck. Like the poster(s) above,  the last memory of Dunn was his over the top celebration becoming an extra kick in the guts to some supporters after our woeful final round performance of 17.

We all wish things could be different Dunny at one stage or another.

If we had only lost 0,1 or 2 games for this season would he have said that? Probably not.

But we 1- 5 and soon to 1-6 so who can blame him.

Dunn at Melbourne was mostly concerned about his man only. Rarely left him to intercept. Played the % on his man.

Maybe he meant the torp as a means to expedite his exit...

Meh. He’s just a Filth player now.

As confirmed by his appalling new bogan ‘dunny-brush’ / mullet haircut.

Anyone see that on the broadcast last night?! Shocker

An unnecessary comment but I don’t blame him. He’s a bit of a faux-tough guy and was never going to assist with taking us any further, so who really cares.

wasnt so tough i remember him punching the broken hand of geelong player think it was chapman ,that was just gutless

When I saw you'd quoted me I re-read my post before reading yours and instantly knew what you'd be questioning.

I can't help you old man.

I only liked Dunn once he left the club.

We might have been crap during most of his time here, and he didn't choose to be drafted by us, but he spent much of his time here playing selfish football.

Maybe he's learnt how to drop that part of his game by moving to Collingwood, and if so then credit to him. Some players just need a different environment to get the best out of themselves.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
