Well done Demons

FWIW wonder if it was Gary Pert's ' idea.?

just saying for the restless ones on Perty's  case!

Anyone got a list of names so we know what girls and boys to be keeping a eye out for in the future? Saw a young Yze and a Johnson

Was Kobe Farmer there?

That is the young person that I am waiting to see join the Dees.

At his current age, I don't expect him to be a champion amongst his peers or those slightly ahead of him in the maturation stakes; however, when he is ready, if he has half of the talent that his 'old man' had, then he will be an absolute champion. His dad has, on several occasions, hinted/no, demanded, that he will be a Demon. It may well prove to be a 'second coming' although that would be unfair to anticipate just that little bit too much of him. A very warm welcome when it happens is all we can offer under these circumstances. Gosh, I am still thinking that it would be a wonderful acquisition in the future.

  • Tegan Williams - daughter of David Williams (67 games, 1983-1988)
  • Tigga Johnstone – son of Travis Johnstone (160 games, 1998-2007)
  • Tom and Max McDonald – sons of Anthony McDonald (104 games, 1997-2002)
  • Kate O’Dwyer – daughter of Steven O’Dwyer (84 games, 1987-1991)
  • Rylee and Autumn Ward – daughters of Daniel Ward (136 games, 1998-2007)

No James McDonald? I went to a house viewing a few years ago and he was there. He seemed to have a few rug rats.

A good turnout nonetheless.

Travis Johnstone’s son is named Tigga? That is excellent.

Next you’ll be telling me David Schwarz has named his son Ox.

Is he even playing footy anymore?

He is based in Perth.

I dont think little Wiz will be playing for the red and blue anytime soon.

Noticeably absent is the son of Jim Stynes who would be around 13 yo.

He looked a likely type when I saw him running around for South Melbourne Districts last year.

Might be a good move,  to shield him from any social media pressure that could come.

Happy for him, or any who had fathers with BIG names with us...  to go under Our radar,  until they Bloom themselves,  in their own good time.

Can you imagine the fanfare and expectations from Us,  on a kid like that...    horrendous.

He's got 3 boys. He and Anthony's boys play together and both dominate. All in good time though.

Is he angry with this club ?  or is he OK now ?

In any other circumstances I'd denounce the name Tigga, but in this case I really want them to play a game just for the novelty value.

Can someone go and open a tinder account for Neita! He should be studded!

Ablett jnr was always talented but miles off at the same stage. Things can turn very quickly.

Hasn't Neita got a young daughter?  Probably needs a few more years.

Trust Travis Johnstone to have a son called Tigga.

Wonder if Strawbs's daughter is tall like him

Looking back on these names we did have some good players over the years.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
