Don't speak too soon.. Hearing Lockhart out for ANB

I really hope this is a joke.

Lockharts been about the only enjoyable thing from the last two games.  FMD

With these outs, it's backs against the wall stuff.

I'm tipping us to pull off an upset that rivals us rolling the Eagles in Perth in '98.

between the reduced home game crowds against Essendon and in two weeks against Richmond I suspect the finances have already taken a hit against budget

Well the sponsors wouldn't be too worried yet. No such thing as bad publicity, and there's been arguably more coverage of how bad we are right now vs what we would have got with a more expected start to the season.

With the potential late changes and the worry re: ANB getting a gig - Jay Clark is saying that both Hore and Spargo are on standby should both Jetta and Lockhart not play.

Despite years of beltings I can proudly say I've never once turned off or walked out before full time. Different levels of supporting your team I suppose.

Ditto,    well  waited till less than 10 minutes to go, even if we are being belted, sometimes its better to get away and be a bit calmer in the traffic !!

THIS injury list is growing worse by the minute. The side that takes the field tonight is the worst in 4 years.

And those 4 years are 1974, 1985, 2007 and 2013.

Same same. Not once in the many, many years i have followed the dees.

Actually once. But not because were losing. We actually won the game. I had to leave the dees v saints round one game from a few years back at Docklands because i had an event i had to attend.

With Jetta out I am no longer thinking we could win this. If ANB plays then the selectors have rocks in their head.

Lets just say that the injury list is the worst in 4 years.

Unacceptable, mate.  What sort of fan are you?  Well?  WELL?????

Buddy just saw our backline, called his mum and told her to watch this one

this is beyond a joke - there are too many soft tissue injuries. Enquiries need to be made.

Garbage, It is just the nature of the sport. Happens to all clubs at one time or another.

I take it most of the posters on here,  who have made disparaging or derogatory remarks about the team and individual players,  wont we watching or attending the game? I mean what's the point

Saty, I suspect that there will be many supporters not turning on whether they have made disparaging comments or not. Unfortunately, that is the nature of the beast, applying to all team based sport.

Fans are fickle and they don't like watching or listening to their side losing after a succession of losses whether it be Melbourne or any side. Look how power sides like Hawthorn have a drop off of fans if their form is poor.

Everyone wants to support and follow winners, and for the passionate, its personal.

And lay zero tackles again? The sooner Garlett returns the better.

And zero goals again, and minimal impact.

These night games must be good for you Sku, at least 10.30am is an acceptable time for a beer, rather than 6am. (which is also acceptable in many circumstances).

Yep. Backs against the wall folks may just bring the best out of who ever we still have playing.

I have I agree with others the side we are putting out is rubbish, sadly other quality sides seem to manage when they have a few outs. I still think we can win, but I thought we should have beat Essendon comfortably last week.

Thank god dean towers got delisted last year, I wonder which average player is going to destroy us tonight ?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
