Fit looking fella, which is a good thing being a professional athlete I suppose.

Looks a lot older than 20.

There is no doubt that playing with better players gives you a good chance to perform at a better level.

That of course has to be tempered by the fact that your opposition is better and quicker and the game is faster.

The real problem for Oskar, is that unlike most clubs, we are poorly skilled and that pass that should hit him on the chest may in fact land in a food outlet.

Glad though that he is getting a chance and hope he has a good one.

Point taken but the “higher standards” don’t necessarily have to be from his team mates. Players can rise to the standards set by the opposition also.

Congrats Oskar and looking forward to seeing you burn the park and hope that your hammies hold up well.  Watching you play for Casey over time l have become a admirer of yours for the way you play with aggression, and chase hard and use your  speed to your advantage which will  do you good in the AFL.  I know you have many admirers and hope you showcase your  talents  tonight and in the future.

Long time coming.

As I said in the Gameday thread, I reckon it's the new haircut.  He looked like an unkempt kid with the mop.  Now looks like a man!

3 years ago Oskars mum Trudie passes away from cancer.  He promises her that he will get to  an AFL list and play AFL one day.  Tonight it happens and near his 22nd birthday.  Lots of tears for family and friends when OB runs out.  I hope he savours the moment.  Well done Oskar.

Oh! That was him!? The same person? I knew there was a reason I was confused. Really does look totally different, body and head.

That's what happens when you rely too much on the online radio.

Didn’t he look (sadly) a bit like Ben Brown?

Did some good things and will hopefully acclimatize to the pace.

His awareness should increase with experience meaning he will get caught with the footy less and find some space to break the game open.

Some encouraging signs from him. Would like to see him retained for another game.

Id give him 5 week stretch of senior footy.

I reckon he will be the kind of player that will actually play better at AFL level rather then the VFL standard.

Loved his game tonight

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
