What a complete and utter disgusting display.

I can deal with a loss but this is heartbreaking.

FU Nichols you are a [censored] dirty hopeless umpire with a vendetta.

I didn't realise the skull was out there... but I shld have known the AFL would arrange for it.  Got their insurance for the interstate vs Vic GF

I just feel sick. No thanks even one goal

Can anyone recommend a good movie to watch?

Groundhog Day.

Can we break a few records?

Midfield should be ashamed of themselves. Disgusting display especially by our leaders. Jones, Gawn and Lewis have done absolutely nothing.

Well... far from ideal.

I get a feeling the boys didn’t want to front up to Collingwood next week.

One hell of a reality check.

See y'all on the Draft and Cheese board.

Need a response.. game is gone, but cannot let this be 100 points.. save some pride

So so so so disappointed

[censored]! A goalless half, where the prize is a Grand Final berth

Pathetic..

Leaders have gone missing again when it counts.

Diddnt even know Jones was playing.

Viney to be sole captain next yr please.

50 years of this just another to add to the list. Only positive we won two finals and clearly this game will highlight who can't cut the mustard. What hurt is these flogs have been consistent finalists for years and we just keep being let down. Does it ever end.

I’m shattered. Feel like crying??

Team just isn’t ready to be a serious contender yet, won 2 finals after a decade+ but today was a bridge too far

Worst half by a team in a final since 1927. That’s how bad we’ve been. The midfield today has been Neeld era bad. 18 tackles in a half in a final. Less than half be opposition who have had the ball the whole time. Pathetic effort.

So disappointing to completely sh*t the bed after all the good work to this point.

Very very very disappointing

Some players out there are not up to the pressure mentally and physically

List changes MUST be made in the next few weeks

Those who want to be part of a premiership in the next few years need to stand up in the second half!!

Wow.  A complete capitulation.  Jogging to contests now.  Can’t win a contest, cant execute basic skills.  At least 4 players having absolute stinkers.  It is getting embarrassing.  We lack composure and have created this mess.  Eagles have take our slop and are running past us like witches hats.

Gotta reflect on the positives for this year, and this will not be one of them

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
