If we get up tomorrow I’d be happy if we go in the GF as underdog.

The game's biggest [censored] and IMO one of its most over-rated players.

Forget just current day. He’s one of the most overrated players of all time.

Sidebottom had 41 touches with only 6 contested. That is poor coaching - had to send a tag to him.

Make no mistake, after we win tomorrow, The Nut goes to Him next week

Why are there empty seats next to the MCC if its a sell out?? Never got that..

They are the seats the West Coast supporters purchased, but didn’t attend to silence the crowd.

I hate him. He is a despicable god fearing [censored].

Seeing Richmond trudge off the ground sullen faced makes me so very happy.

As a positive, if we do win tomorrow, we'll get to play the GF out of our home rooms (we share with Richmond, Collingwood share with Hawthorn, so if Richmond had won we would have had to play out of the other rooms).

Richmond finished 13th in 2016, their supporters wanted Hardwick gone but they kept him, premiership 2017.

Collingwood finished 13th in 2017, their supporters wanted Buckley gone but they kept him...2018?

Beat me too it, not sacking the coach has paid off twice.

Give me a bucket! We truly are the comp's last hope

Does that make us the Rebels and Eddie Darth Vader?

I see Jeremy ‘Bucks-is-going-to-make-me-the-next-Jack-Gungston’ Howe has ice on both ankles and his hamstring...

The pies are playing above themselves tonight, hard to do that 2 weeks in a row as it takes a lot out of the team mentally and physically.  We have been consistent for the last 4 games.

Pies were very good against West coast in Perth too.

They will be bloody hard to stop playing like that.

If we make it, and we are still in the realms of 'if', we will need to play smart footy. Tiges needed to take the sting out of that one earlier. When they started to control the pace, they could then go hard. Instead, Collingwood took their game off them.

If we get through, 'underdog' will suit is perfectly. The Tigers were beatable, the Pies are beatable. Would be a great matchup, and a killer GF.

Now let's get to making it there! Can't wait for tomorrow!

West Coast beat Collingwood at the G earlier this year.

Collingwood weren't playing like this earlier in the year.

Official crowd: 94,959 at the MCG . Little disappointing when so many could not get a ticket. Take it the MCC didn't all turn up .

Grundy gave Nankervis an absolute bath, and Richmond had no midfield.  Sidebottom had an armchair ride.  Tigers did not have a Maxy to drop back into the hole and stop cox.  Tigers kept bombing it in to big outnumbers, and Riewoldt was outstanding under nearly impossible conditions.  Think if we get through we have to win the midfield, and cut out their marking on the outside.  Shut them down like we did the hawks.

Takes a Dees gf to over fill it.

Next week ;)

So, the old enemy awaits!  We just gotta get it done tomorrow!!

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
