I wish the MCC could set up a live feed, to Perth and fans could go to the G to watch the game?

Great idea. Trouble is the cost to the MCC,  of having the ground open and secured and staffed. Then again if everyone paid $10 they could get thousands there.

This is where we are disadvantaged by not having a home base.  Other teams can set up screens at Punt Rd, Vic Park, Western Oval etc etc etc.

It seems the club is looking for a suitable spot to set up the live feed and show vision to the team.

Edit:  SEN just interviewed Mahoney and he said venues to watch the game:

  • Fed Square
  • Sporting Globe at Richmond
  • Sporting Globe Ferntree Tree Gully
  • Casey venue (didn't hear where)

I guess vision to players will be from one or more of those venues.

I hope it gets across the line! Nothing would please me more than beating Meth Coast.

I wonder if Jeffrey! Jeffrey! Jeffrey! Farmer can get a movement going, the official 'Freo supporters who are ok about Melbourne and hate the Eagles' seating area.

Just imagine the ruckus! :D

Yes Jeffy yes, that exactly what we need. Any little advantage we can get to take their focus off the game should be explored.

Remember that tablet set up in front of the bench i mentioned on the podcast. Maybe instead of key statistics and messages and tactical information it could show a feed of the sporting globe?

(by the by i said on the podast that i assumed most clubs would have something similar. Perhaps they do but i have looked for it at our games, on the replays and other televised matches and have not seen any other examples).

That still boggles my mind! Must be some decent binos!

Nephew used my codes, and got tickets for 4 people, up behind the Dees cheer sqaud.

Lucky he is with a couple of  mates who can go a bit, as his mouth is Shrek sized when the Dees are playing.

Hopefully we can get enough voices there to be heard.

I think the ferals over there will lift our players and they will soar higher than the Eagles. Maybe it will be burnt wings!

So apparently Neil Mitchell has spoken with someone at channel 7 that is prepared to work with the club to ensure that the broadcaster focuses on a select group of Demons fans for Goodwin to refer to for motivation - considering how negative the environment can be.

They're called a cheer squad? And the dude sporting Woewodins hair style looks to be the prime motivator

Our Cheer Squad are more than capable of matching West Coast for enthusiasm. I have seen them go wild quite a few times.

This is hilarious.

Someone suggested as a joke on a Facebook group that we all buy tickets and not attend. Mitchell has caught wind and run a story about it.

I hope the West Coast fans are louder than they've ever been.

Our guys will love it.  You can not intimidate this Melbourne team, you bozos!

The bias of the West will come through the umpiring decisions, one fears.

Do the Freo Dockers have a forum? Might be an idea to engage the purple army to join the cause and use up some food those tickets to support the dees.

It’s all over the evening news here as well.

Eagles supporters labelling it as “bad sportsmanship” the clowns.

I just love the last two games, both times the crowds were amazing.

I think a lot of people would go to the G to watch it on the big screen, just a thought.

What a great idea! Free snacks for all Freo supporters at the Optus Oval in Perth if they wear Red'nBlue on the day.

Considering they're on the same network 6PR and 3AW having a feud has about as much legitimacy as a WWE match. They would have cooked this up the moment Melbourne - West Coast was confirmed.

These Western Australian muppets should boo themselves for being sucked in by such obviously artificial outrage.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
