Roaming Brian - Melbourne vs Hawthorn, Semi Final

Hogan and Lever both in the coaches box and both made an appearance on roaming BT don't worry.

You don't really get great interviews by suprising players who are dead sore and want to relax. I think the classic desk in the rooms and have 2-3 players and maybe a special coach or CEO come on for an interview is better. Maybe have a 2min segment where BT goes and finds something interesting (like the rub down table as he calls it) and let him do it. Running through the rooms with a camera and cords and approaching people in the way he does leads to some cringy moments.

BT asked the lady who weighs everyone if she is the Rub down girl (great moment tbh), went into ice bath areas to interview a half naked hibbo and a kid (that sounded worse than it was) and had the very excited McDonald parents try and embarrass their kids on live TV.

Couldn't agree more. He thinks he's an authority.

Does anyone know who the boys were kissing on the cheek on their way into the rooms? I assumed it was one of the Mums, but I could be wrong

Worth putting up with BT to have this sort of access to the players/rooms after a finals win.    The vibe in there is electric.

Bonus points to Clayton Oliver for the pizz take of Brian.

No putting up with, that's past.

BT's been very good this year, and has somehow changed his attitudes. IMO.

He's very listenable, this year.

I find it interesting and entertaining, not rude.

And it gives some other interviewers some vision time on telly.

Interesting.

Just finished watching BT’s segment. Where was Hogan? Anyone see him in the rooms?  Every somebody and nobody connected with the club was there. He has kind of disappeared lately like he must be doing a stint in a remote lamasery in the Himalayas.

Oh no. I think he's gone.

I liked BT meeting Nevs parents. They deserve some sort of award for producing a son like him.

I also liked when Frosty was interviewed on the MFC podcast during the week. Sam was asked "who he most looked up to at the Club" It took him no thought at all to nominate Nev for not just what he did on the field but for his closeness to his family and his work in the indigenous community. Frost said that we all have 24 hours a day but Nev makes the most of every one.

BT plays the fool, and maybe one for all I know, but I do like the ‘inner access’ it provides mug punters like me.

Craig Jennings summed up how I feel about BT perfectly.

Daniel Cross is a bulldogs legend, remember? His kid goes for the Dees. [censored] awesome.

Yeah its a pretty tough gig in all fairness.

I love seeing BT in our rooms cos it means we are winning Friday night games...  and in finals no less.

Just watched it now, what a champ Tom and Oscar’s dad is! Hibberd dropping the bomb, everyone was awesome.

I’d wanted to see a Roaming Brian with us all year, now it just seems like a regular thing!

OMG. Not there for BT’s segment.  ?

Surely incontrovertible and final proof that he hates this club and just can’t wait to feel the buzz and excitement of a Ross Lyon forward “structure”!

Roaming Brian two weeks in a row.  Awesome.  The access to players was sensational

We didn’t get the Friday nights this year.

Watch out 2019 fixtures for 4-5 Friday nights surely. We are the highest scoring entertainment team.

Highest scoring ... lots of goals ... lots of ad breaks.

Somewhere a Channel 7 exec is thoughtfully stroking his chin and asking his PA to get Gil on the line.

Give bt credit. He complimented the club on its approach to providing full and open access as the best in the afl. As did caro and hutchy on monday night.

Well done dees media team and management.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
