Media 4 weeks back:”they haven’t beaten a top 8 side”

Now beat 4 on the trot!

Go Demons.

And please Peter Jackson demand that the AFL send their chief maggot coach down, this week, to explain to Angus how if he is head down going for the ball he can avoid penalty for having his head kicked.

Good point, but I liked Goodwin in the post match too, focused on doing our thing rather than having a sook like some of the other coaches would have.

Thought he worked his azz off myself

12.30 and finally on train. Song still being sung.

ITSSSS A  GRAND OLD FLAG

As much as I like Jeff Garlett he must be thinking about alternative employment as Spargo has taken his job

Spargo tonight

Goals 2

Goal assists 3

Clearances 2

Tackles 3

Go DEES! One win away from a grand final; and a chance to bury the tiges under a mountain of pressure. Clearly the best tackling side in the comp. I'm so proud of what these guys have managed to do. Praise the Lord!

@Ethan Tremblay  how many spare beds have you got at your place next weekend?

@McQueen  ??

@DemonFrog  ??

Can you handle another 3829 Demons supporters?

Got beds and swags mate.

I absolutely mean it when I say you’ll have a bed if you need it.

Lots to digest but the big for me was how much better we looked when we kicked to the top of the goal square and not to pockets.

We had so many set shots directly in front of goal which was great.

I want another Hawks supporter to tell me how how we voted to merge, my reply, you keep focusing on history, I have a game next week.

I believe the Hawks lost their sense of direction. They kept kicking across the centre from wing to wing and back again!

How hard is it going to be to get a ticket next week? I dont want to fork out a small fortune for airfares only to miss out on a ticket.

If a member, easy (I think)

Just got in. Had a great drive home, ran into two Dees supporters at a BP in Corio, relived the highlights while the BP worker just starred at us. Ha ha! Go Dees!

If you're a member you'd be a shoe in. Club's are allocated X amount of tickets for their members. You may very well be the envy of many a Weagles supporter come next week, trout.

We denied them the corridor all night. The vast majority of their inside 50 balls were coming in from the flanks, quite often to the pockets. Smart defending really.

Qiestion is do I miss my 3yr olds birthday Sat and fly to Perth?!

Equation is simple Cards. Your daughter turning three is a once in a lifetime event. Melbourne qualifying for a grand final however has only happened twice over several lifetimes. Free pass to Perth. Plus kids are idiots and don't remember any display of generosity until they're at least five. Bring back a lump of coal and the scalp of Shannon Hurn and invest it in her future.

DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah a member so that’s good news, telling my bride I am contemplating dropping over a grand on flights my not be though.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

    I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

    The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
