WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS

I like the idea of swapping Tyson for Preuss. However, I only hope Mahoney and Co. push for a little more than a direct trade. Say start with a second-round pick, and settle with a third, or swap of a second and third. Alternatively, salary cap payment of Preuss.

Why, because we know that Tyson is North's contingency to Gaff. I predict their salary cap savings won't roll over again (someone can clarify this, but is it two years non-fulfilled salary cap, 5% max, can roll over?). Furthermore, Tyson is a 100+ game player, former number three draft pick (if that means anything), while Preuss has only 8 games and is a former rookie selection.

I presume one of the sides is currently pushing for a little more, which would explain the delay.

Preuss for Tyson. Yes that works. Maybe we can snag a late pick in the 60s to go with it.

I wonder if North supporters would be arguing the opposite? I know Tyson played more games than Preuss in 2018 but on a needs basis, I think it's arguable that we need Preuss more than they need Tyson.

Goldstein turns 31 next year. How many more seasons are they expecting out of him?

I like the look of Preuss but their willingness to part with him at this stage is...interesting. I’m hoping we see a pick upgrade in this deal.

Indeed they are, I've been told that on big footy, they are suggesting that, one idiot, at least, wants Tyson and we pay half his contract for the next two years plus our first round pick from next year for Preuss.  There are others that are stupid, but that is the most stupid, no wonder most think Norf supporters are morons.

These new rules would suit him too, can just grab it out of the ruck (goodluck tackling him if youre a midfielder) AND up forward he can just shove [censored] out of the way

Deal just announced. Huge kudos to mahoney.

Pretty close, Norm ?

Tyson would've had limited opportunities with us and I think he suits Norf to play the Dalsanto role, though Dal was a better player than Tyson.

Preuss is what we need. I can see him helping out down forward, or letting Max help out down forward for 10 mins each qtr.

Plus it's a salary dump for us, freeing up SC space for May or to bank for next year.

Both clubs win IMO

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
