Posted this on the Post-Match thread, but does anyone have any idea who we might be playing first up in the finals (depending on win/loose against GWS)?

I know it’s a long shot. Freo was excellent this week and all

You'd think they'd want to show SOMETHING after this week on their home deck in the last game of the year.

Ideally win next week so we get a home final.

So happy the lads did this themselves and not rely on other results and thrilled to bits for all of us long suffering fans, GO THE MIGHTY DEMON'S, TAKE EM ALL TO HELL, and lets see if they can handle were we live.

From what I can see:

- if we lose against GWS we get the looser of Swans/Hawks.

- if we win against GWS, probably get Geelong.

I’ve just had a big sobfest. I’m still shaking. I still am having trouble believing it. Demons IN THE FINALS. No matter what happens, I’m proud of them. No more butt of everyone’s jokes. I don’t like to see all those “I’m done with this team” people’s faces right now. Especially that idiot that claimed on Facebook that after the loss last year, he was now a full paid member of Essendon.

It' will be Hawthorn/Sydney (loser of) if we lose vs GWS, or else Geelong.

If pigs fly and Freo defeats Collingwood, a win will see us make 4th spot and play Richmond.

A very happy day.  Not quite the emotion I felt in 1987 as a 17 year old at the Western Oval but I'm thrilled for all the true believers who have maintained the faith over a very long period.  I'd like to thank Paul Roos, Bernie Vince and Daniel Cross who made the decision to be a part of the rebuild of this club 5 years ago.  The foundations those guys built are the bedrock of what is about to unfold.

Count not your chickens just yet - Port Adelaide could beat Essendon by 250 points and edge us out.

Any other time I'd be happy to see that. But I'm in a good mood so I'll cut EFC a break.
