Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Thank you for your continued support & understanding. Go Dees.

Angus' mum just spoke to SEN, key takeaways:

Mum is going to GABBA to watch Angus and spend time with Will before he flies back to Afghanistan.

Angus to stay in Brisbane with family for mothers day

Both parents and extended family are from Perth and born there, Perth is their second home

Mum thrilled that two brothers are playing in WA

Parents Left 3/4 time at MCG to go watch Angus at Etihad

Angus talks a lot when hes happy, has been happy last two weeks, sounded like he wasn't happy about not playing earlier in year (my opinion).

Mum is hoping his form continues and so to Melbourne's so we make finals

Nathan Burke has been mentoring Angus re helmet and concussion and had a family talk with his mum.

No mention of contract or future whereabouts.

If it wasn't him, they would be making it up about someone else.

Media makes the axe sharper when they get bad publicity, just as well they are dumphkoffs.

If I'd had a billion concussions and was just now starting to play good footy, I'd put my contract discussions on hold too…even if I played for the Melbourne Footy Club (which we all know I'd never leave in a million years but don't tell them that just in case I'm drafted as a mature-age rookie or something).

His career was at the crossroads post his concussions and his value probably at an all time low. By all reports he worked his arse off over the summer and didnt miss a single session. His form is in direct correlation to his efforts over many MANY months and he is re establishing himself as a potential A grader. He's right to be waiting to re sign atm.

And I think he is rediscovering his game, as an attacking defender.

I prefer him just outside the crunch's, and off the defensive side of mid section of the ground.

I prefer him head up, looking for options to cut off, or to deliver to,,, rather than with head down around his ankles, looking for ground ball.

He has been fantastic IMO, of the last few games, influencing our achievements.

What player would be?

...many footballers like the romantics of being a one club player and I believe a reasonable level of genuineness in this assertion from most, but at the end of the day, I believe that almost all would be making their contract decisions on an dispassionate, pragmatic basis, so on its own, the stated notion of being a one club player is almost irrelevant.

It ant rocket science (I'm just a poor old ex-garbo).

They (footballers) might talk up all this "one club player" stuff, but at the end of the day, they (probably at the urging of their managers) think with their head not their heart when deciding to accept a deal and stay or chase a better deal and leave.

The main thing for most players is playing with their mates as long as they're being fairly rewarded.

If they think the team is about to embark on something special, which they do, they won't leave (unless special circumstances, such as go home factor or a personal issue).

Brayshaw won't be going anywhere.

Jay Clark reporting that Brayshaw has been offered $700,000 across 4 years at North (that is Gaff sort of money!).

1. Brayshaw seems very committed to the Dees (and Clark says that he assumes Brayshaw will stay

2. North dont have the pieces to offer us for Brayshaw (first round this and next year wont be enough unless they bomb out badly this year).

3. It is nice that teams want our players for big money (Hogan, Brayshaw). It makes me feel like we have good players.

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was

UNDER THE PUMP by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons have been left languishing near the bottom of the VFL table after suffering a 32-point defeat at the hands of stand alone club Williamstown at Casey Fields on Sunday. The Demons suffered a major setback before the game even started when AFL listed players Ben Brown, Marty Hore and Josh Schache were withdrawn from the selected side. Only Schache was confirmed as an injury replacement, the other two held over as possible injury replacements for Melbourne’s Thursday night fixt
