My only slight concern is the shorter break after playing in a warm conditions and even then I'm more worried about us getting injuries as opposed to losing.

Pound for pound we just have a much stronger list.

Agree im a bit worried about the 8 v 6 day break. I was in Alice last week and she was pretty warm hence im expecting some let down. Hence only a 40 point win :)

Can't see them kicking enough score to win and they've now lost Bailey Dale also

Never trust a person that has a last name of his first name, and a first name for his last name.

This game will be a shoot out.  The problem for the Dogs is that they don't have anyone to kick goals, and they don't have anyone to stop us from kicking them.

Following the theme of the OP, and with sincere apologies to ole blue eyes….congrats to Chunk, who did it His Way…

And now, game 250’s here
And so we face the Western Bulldogs
My friend, I'll say it clear
The dees will win, of which I'm certain

Chunk’s played, a game that's full
of hard ball gets, tackles and tough play
But more, much more than this
Chunk did it his way

Regrets, we've had a few
2012, best not to mention
But Chunk did, what he had to do
And saw it through, winning three Bluey’s too

He carried us against each gifted foe
Each careful kick, or bump behind the play
And more, much more than this
Chunk did it his way

Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When he could have been off to a club a’new
But through it all, when there was doubt
He signed on for 4 years and stuck it out
He faced it all and he stood tall
And did it his way

I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had a complete gut full of losing
But now, as tears subside
I find these 15 goal wins so amusing

To think he did all that
And may I say – thank god you stayed
Yes, thank god for you
You make my game day

For what is this man, what has he got
Elite standards, and a handy snapshot
He’d play the wings, if he had heel
Plays with a busted neck, he’s made of steel
The record shows he took the blows

And did it his way

If anybody deserved to hold up the cup mate, it’s you. Thank you for everything you’ve done for our club. Go dees.

So you are expecting one way traffic??

Beveridge is a smart coach. He will have something up his sleeve that will attempt to slow us down. Viney will be given the job on McCrae.

It'll be a scrap but a 28-point win.

tee hee hee, scraps that are 5 goals wins, if that's the new norm, then magic!

Over the last 2 weekends we've scored a total of 48 goals to the Dogs 10 goals.

Unless Beveridge is in touch with Trump and is planning on building a wall to keep us out.. Might be tough for them to stop our avalanche of goals – It will be interesting.

As another poster has mentioned, the Bulldogs can't score.

In the last 3 weeks we've kicked 69 goals and had 106 scoring shots.

Footscray in that time have kicked 26 goals and had 58 scoring shots.

Assuming Melbourne are remotely interested it should be a 10 goal win.

Another way of thinking:  nice dry and warm but not hot and humid in Alice (by day anyway), bloody freezing in Melbourne.

Who doesn't feel better after a mid winter break somewhere warm? Except of course those stereotypical MFC fans who prefer snow ;-)

The humidity was about 23/24% on Sunday, which is VERY low.

It was hot, but certainly not humid.

Just consider that, with all the vitamin D our boys took in at the Alice, we are going to set land speed records back in 'the cold'.

100+ point win, Captain Courageous carried off Etihad Stadium by his teammates to the tune of Grand Old Flag, DeeDubya and hundreds of others in the crowd sobbing like babies. Severe Sunday morning hangover.

Unchanged for another week.

Dogs team looks pretty bloody ordinary. Gawn is going to dine out this weekend and we’ll be in for another big win.

Garlett and Tyson really being made to earn it.

As it should be.

I wonder when the last time was that we went in unchanged two weeks in a row?

Good move from the club, though.  When you win by a combined 200 points in a fortnight it's pretty hard to drop someone.

While I wouldn't have minded a fresh player or two in, understand you can't drop anyone after every player had done his job to pretty much to perfection the last 2 weeks

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
