The cretins on Bomberblitz reckon they've got him, and they always seem to have the good dope.

Worsfold connection perhaps?

why any player would go to the drug cheats  is beyond me

When Nathan Jones was interviewed last week I think he made a comment something like “this wouldn’t stop us having him at our club”.

He was referring to the Gaff punch and I thought it was odd that he would make that type of comment especially when he wasn’t asked about recruiting Gaff.

Maybe it was a message to Gaff to say we will still recruit you.

Who knows but I thought it was weird to make a comment like that.

Seeing as Gaff has been clear he's not meeting with any clubs whilst in Melbourne, there's no way he met with Woosha in the last fortnight

The link to the Peptides does make some sense nevertheless, given the pharmacist connection

Kent and second rounder for Gaff probably gets it done, probably even already done,  but personally not over excited at the propospect of this.

it would go nowhere near getting it done - it would be daylight robbery for us

if he's leaving meth coke, it's as a free agent, not in a trade

Why would we need to give them anything? Isn’t he a free agent?

I could be wrong, but I recall from years ago, that he had some kind of connection to one of the doctors at Essendon.

Restricted free agent, we would only need to look at trade options if WC decide to match our offer to him. So first base is to make an offer and see what they do

I think you are talking about Heppell...

Not if WC match the offer, which they likely would unless it's a North offer for $50 million and an island in the Caribbean.

If Gaff leaves the West for Melbourne, I can’t see him making his decision based on a 10 year old connection with a clubs doctor.

A certain GWS player whose name begins with K and ends with elly is available next year.

Jay Clark also saying it is a choice between North and WC. He says Essendon are not pursuing Gaff, while Melbourne and St Kilda are not confident of getting him

Imagine coming back to Victoria... to play for Norf.

I guess they had to get someone on the hook with all that money.  They've missed on everyone else.

Maybe we could squeeze out one of their players. Ben Jacobs is arguably the leagues best tagger and hasn't re-signed. He obviously has concussion issues right now, but we do have a good track record with Brayshaws recovery so far.

So much for a few on here with "inside connections" that were adamant hes Melbourne bound..

In saying that, [censored]ing North Andrew!?? Really..??

Perhaps we have never been into Gaff and are saving our coin for Kelly who has already committed us.

Hey,  a man is allowed to dream.

Gaff to North has a lot of symmetry with the Judd to Carlton scenario.

WC player returning to Melbourne on big dollars to play in a team that achieves SFA until he retires (and even then they still suck).

Yep as it stands we don’t. If may be able to trade back into the draft and pick up another second rounder or two. Mount peak Sydney’s interest as they’ll be wanting points to use on Academy picks.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
