subject to capacity worries me a bit

not sure how GA standing room is counted. I assume they monitor the non seating ticketed entrant numbers at the turnstiles.

Might be a good idea to arrive around an hour early and I would think you would be ok

You should be fine - just get there as early as possible. I went last year without reservation (GA) and snagged a seat on Level One Ponsford, just round from the goals. Otherwise get up to L4 Olympic, which will be reserved up to about halfway back. Good luck!

Buy a reserved seat membership. Problem solved*

*Reserved seat membership does not come with a guarantee that we will be a better team or that you will feel less annoyed about our performances.

I'm sitting at 3 from 7 this round - a pretty familiar situation for other tipsters I've spoken to.

Tipped the Tigers but obviously hope I'm wrong.

Light showers at the ‘G as I write.

If we lose I’m guessing we lost it at selection?

Someone will come on here and agree with you if you mean draft selections in 2009.

Hope the rain goes away. Let the Dons and Pies deal with it tomorrow.

I don't think much rain will hit the G looking at the radar.  The heavier stuff is south.

If you've got a General Admission MFC membership and want a confirmed seat, call the club and ask to purchase a 'Guest Pass' for the 'Demons Seats'. You can sit anywhere within the M14 Bay on Level 1 Great Southern Stand once you have the pass and only costs $18 (on top of the cost of your GA membership or GA ticket). Bought one for my folks yesterday avo.

Note: sometimes people manage to sneak in and sit there as it's never even 25% full – so give that a go as well.

So we must play a high posession game then and handball backwards at all costs?

Richmond have beaten the two bottom of the ladder teams in Brisbane and Carlton and have beaten an up and down Hawthorn and lost to an injury depleted Adelaide. Grow some nuts, Melbourne by 64.

Yes Richmond have not been that good we always match up well

Rosebury (8), Foot (2) and Williamson (22) tonight.   At least that bald clown Nicholls is not in attendance.  Rosebury is generally good.   Williamson is the worry IMHO.   Let's hope they aren't a factor.   Just want to see a competitive effort tonight and in all likelihood we win if we bring that.   Dees by 26.

We are so unpredictable we could win by 50 or lose by 80 and everything in between

The got the Hawks with a 5 day break after they played Geelong compared to their 9 day break. They are very gettable tonight.

Does Melbourne come switches on and do they come to play for 4 quaters.

  • REPORT: Geelong

I was disappointed to hear Goody say at his post match presser after the team’s 39 point defeat against Geelong that "we're getting high quality entry, just poor execution" because Melbourne’s problems extend far beyond that after its 0 - 4 start to the 2025 football season. There are clearly problems with poor execution, some of which were evident well before the current season and were in play when the Demons met the Cats in early May last year and beat them in a near top-of-the-table clash that saw both sides sitting comfortably in the top four after round eight. Since that game, the Demons’ performances have been positively Third World with only five wins in 19 games with a no longer majestic midfield and a dysfunctional forward line that has become too easy for opposing coaches to counter. This is an area of their game that is currently being played out as if they were all completely panic-stricken.

  • PREGAME: Essendon

Facing the very real and daunting prospect of starting the season with five straight losses, the Demons head to South Australia for the annual Gather Round, where they’ll take on the Bombers in search of their first win of the year. Who comes in, and who comes out?

  • NON-MFC: Round 04

Round 4 kicks off with a blockbuster on Thursday night as traditional rivals Collingwood and Carlton clash at the MCG, with the Magpies looking to assert themselves as early-season contenders and the Blues seeking their first win of the season. Saturday opens with Gold Coast hosting Adelaide, a key test for the Suns as they aim to back up their big win last week, while the Crows will be looking to keep their perfect record intact. Reigning wooden spooners Richmond have the daunting task of facing reigning premiers Brisbane at the ‘G and the Lions will be eager to reaffirm their premiership credentials after a patchy start. Saturday night sees North Melbourne take on Sydney at Marvel Stadium, with the Swans looking to build on their first win of the season last week against a rebuilding Roos outfit. Sunday’s action begins with GWS hosting West Coast at ENGIE Stadium, a game that could get ugly very early for the visitors. Port Adelaide vs St Kilda at Adelaide Oval looms as a interesting clash, with both clubs form being very hard to read. The round wraps up with Fremantle taking on the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium in what could be a fierce contest between two sides with top-eight ambitions. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons besides us winning?

  • POSTGAME: Geelong

The Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, falling to 0–4 after a more spirited showing against the Cats at Kardinia Park. Despite the improved effort, they went down by 39 points, and the road ahead is looking increasingly grim.
